I have been talking with someone from interco for past few days about making a 38.5x14.50x17 tsl sx sticky. If there is enough demand it will happen. So who all would be up for a set?

They have not talked about price. But I also mentioned making them for a 17'' and a 15'' wheel.

Depending on price and how they measure out to a 39" Red I would be a possible player.

Price and true size would be on everybody's list before they could really commit. With the sales of all the 37" stickies interco should know they would sell

Id be all over a set for 15" wheels. My old ass sx that are cut to the cords have seen better days and one of them is starting to leak a little. Like most price is the biggest concern, size Im not that worried about since Im used to runnin a undersized 38.5 anyways.

According to Interco's site the 38.5 SX (which is only currently made as a 16.5) measures true to side 38.5"

The BFG site says the Blue Krawlers are the same 38.5" measurement.

So, I guess it boils down to pricing and if it happens.

I'd be interested in a set depending on timing and pricing. I'm going to need new tires soon anyway. 15" wheel because I don't feel like buying different beadlocks for a budget beater.

I'd be interested in a set of 38.5's for 15" wheels...but really don't want knobby beach balls for tires either...so id really like a set of them in no more than 13.5" wide

I don't think they'd see all that much business for these coming from the one ton crowd. These would probably sell to yotas, and other lighter weight rigs so that's why I'd stick with 15's. I also think the 17" wheels make the sidewalls too stiff...and the wider tires seem to be the same way. I guess they have more tread patch to support and have to be thicker to do so...

When I first contacted them about it I asked for a 39'' tire and they replied back with the 38.5. Id rather have the 39 myself. Im going to send a link to this page to them in a email so they can see the interest.

MMMMMMmmmmmmmm... So much want

I would doubt they could make this for a 17" wheel because they don't even make the DOT for a 17" wheel. I could be wrong, but I believe that would require some additional tooling or a new mold to make a 38.5 in a 17" wheel.

I would love to run these on my 93 LC80, but I need at least a 16" wheel to clear the calipers. I could grind them a little to fit a 15" if REALLY needed, but I'd rather not.

Pretty much what they told 01TJ when he called a year or so ago. Said they could do the 40" LTB IIRC.

Yeah I called last year before I bought my 39 reds asking about a sticky 40. They said they could make any tire a sticky that they had a mold for. I looked around and saw a 40 LTB for a 17" rim and called back and they said they couldnt make that one in a sticky compound because that tire was made in another plant than the rest.
