i would turn your xcase shifters around if possible as i am pretty sure the front one will interfear with your trans shifter, i have some 1/4 DOM tubing that is pretty much a press fit over stock toy flanges, i am also selling a TG long spline shaft with the creeper joints, i will make you a complete front driveline with the blingin tube and a brand new long spline for $350 with your choice of a single cv or a double cv joint on the case side of the driveline:awesomework:

i might even have a blingin rear shaft with a double cv for your rig as well,

james

well set pinion angle, welded new spring perches on,got my drivelines done,by Bill, owner of Aukeen drivelines on east valley in kent.thanx for the fine job, quik turnaround and reasonable price.anyhow put the boys to work, putting the rearend back in again, everything looked good,so we installed the drivelines.enough for the night.

got up saturday mornin put fluids in the difs and transfer cases, now im stoked gonna fire this thing up and see if everything works correctly.NAW,fuel pump wont pump!!!! Well out with the manual and the multimeter, about 5hrs of cussin and i found a broken wire beetween the pump and the first connector inside the sleeve, yeah baby fire in the hole.doublers are cool.so anyhow got my test drivers out and let them play around the back for a little bit.gotta pull the rearend out one more time and finish weld the shock mounts, finish strippin the old paint and repaint it and do brake lines and i think the rear will be complete for a while.need to figure out the front, got some clearence issues beetween the pitman arm and the center link, but i havent installed the bumpstops yet.anyhow maybe this weekend but probablly the next i should be out playin.

well got home tonight, took a look at my clearance issues beetween pitman arm and tie rod.jacked the left front up and they hit with about a half inch of travel left before they hit where the bump stops will be installed, wich sucks because i had planned on shortening the bump stops to gain some additional up travel wich looks possible as i do not see any other issues with clearance.my question is do they make more than one length of pitman arm?this one is 6"center to center.I moved the front end forward 3/4".but it looks like the pitman arm needs to move forward about 2".so the only solution i see right now is to relocate the steering box forward 2"! has anyone else run into this.any ideas are appreciated.thanx chuck

Just move the box forward,I have seen this before...:awesomework: Oh, and FYI your Iroks on the front are backwards backwards!!!:haha:

Agree the shifters are backwards.

I said the same thing, and then I tried them and they actually work better that way! My forward shifter always tries to interfere with 2nd gear........ not on his though.

Pitman arm issue. I seem to remember when I installed my IFS box that it's only an 1/8" from the forward cab mount. Which means simply moving the box forward isn't so simple after all. And Chuck, you can't run a shorter pitman arm, that would severly limit your turning and is NOT and option. I say, flat pitman arm or full hydro. There has to be another solution, but I still can't think of it......... An upright box! My sami has a toyota steering box that is upright instead of leaning farward. But it's spelled toyoda, weird, i dunno no. But I have one so there is more like it out there.

Why are all your kids always flipping the bird? :haha::haha::haha:

Your Iroks are backwards?? :stirpot: watch out with the pics, these guys look for small details like a pack of mechanical minded wolves. No close ups of my rigs on here, atleast not on all fours.

Rig is coming together great, and very quickly I might add. Looks great and should out perform mine........ but it will look a lot uglier by the time it does  I'll be cheering you on when you finaly have to kick out your windshield just to keep wheelin

I know the tires are backwards ive had them off and on 20 times the thing hasnt left my yard yet.as far as the kids youd have to ask them,i think they just dont like me

thanx darby i knew a shorter arm would limit steering,as far as the close ups I look forward to the critisism on the details, others know more than me thats why im posting, even though it hurts my feelings really bad!

By the looks of the current box mount, this truck was originally an IFS??? If so, there is room to move the box forward without too much difficulty... If you have any body lift, makes it alittle easier. There are lots of kits for this out there, and a few writeups on PBB...some better than others.:awesomework:And Darby's right, don't run a shorter Pitman...

Oh, and the tire thing???? I was pitchin ya ****---:awesomework:

good eye:fawkdancesmiley: ya move that box and reinforce the frame before it tears off the frame or the frame tears:awesomework: seen quite a few frames tear because some people decided to use the stock IFS box mounting location with out beefin it up:beer:

I knew I was gonna have to move the box forward.,just hopin for some simple solution.stopped on the way home from work grabbed some 1/4 plate and a bit of 120 dom tube to move it forward.and keep up with the critisism, every time i get picked apart my project improves.Thanx guys
