I'm incorporating Cryo treatment to each component of the build including the housing and locker, that I have not seen done yet. I'm building redundancies into every aspect of reinforcement. RCV shafts are a possibility but i don't like their warranty requirements and i dont think the chromoly shafts I have picked out are going to be nearly the weak point. I currently have the stock D44 rear axle and i havent made a decision yet on what rear axle i will end up with.paradisepwoffrd said:Only real questions I have, because I am curious and interested:
- what makes this build any different than many of the d30s done before, to expect different results?
- going to install load bolts in the cover to help with any deflection?
- why not go with 30 spline RCVs?
- what rear axle are you running?
nope I will eventually build a hi pinion 9" and move the D30 to another build.ranger11 said:When the 30 breaks you gonna build a super mega 44. .
