"Got my beadlocks mounted today. Ran to GI Joes this week and got some airsoft pellets.

So here's something interesting, according to 'the math', 16500 airsoft pellets should weigh out to about 69.8 oz. Using the wife's kitchen scale (got some strange looks from her on that one :redneck: ) they actually weigh out to 64 oz exactly. I divided up 5 equal parts of 12 oz and have 4 oz left over. I think I'll start at the upper end of the recommended weight for 38" tires per the dynabead site (10-12 oz/tire) and see what happens. "

just woundring why you did this? for balence?. BTW NICE build....

Tim had a good idea to rework the track bar bracket.
Goal was to fix the drag link/track bar angles while providing a mounting location for the hydro assist.

can't get much more parallel than that

Originally we thought about using the same bracket and mounting the ram double shear inside.
I think looking at the angles, we'll mount the ram to the face of the bracket like so -

Is the track bar gonna hit the diff when stuffed, or the tie rod gonna hit the track bar mount when in full turn??? All that 'looks' really close in the pics...
Looks good though!

The track bar clears the diff, and the tie rod clears the track bar mount. BUT, currently the tie rod just kisses the diff cover at full turn, I need to clearance the diff cover a touch. Yeah, not a lot of room in there... :redneck:

Those Halo's really look good on the mall crawlers. So when are we going to see some wheeling pics? :flipoff:

I pulled the seats to rework the brackets a bit and allow Tim some welding room
seatharness01.jpg

The harness has to pass by this sharp edge-
seatharness02.jpg

So I smoothed it out.

wheres the top of the cage:eeek: is it under the headliner or outside the roof:eeek: kinda looks like the pillars just go to the headliner:eeek:

never mind I looked back a page and now I see. How do you keep the water from leaking don those posts though:eeek:

It's an inner/exo hybrid, the A pillar is exo and the B/C/D are inner. There are plates above/below the roof that bolt through the roof and the tube is welded to the outer plate. After it's all cleaned up and painted all the seams will get some sealant. I've got a tube of that black rubbery sticky icky stuff you install windshields with. :awesomework:

Damn, Your gonna be done soon.
