suspension seats

I would just about trade my cloth ones for vinyl if the deal was right :****:

Just bought mine from here, good price and free shipping.

i called about the twisted stitch pro seats today and it looks like they are going to run about $350 each, so if everyone likes the Corbeau seats i might just go with a set in black vinyl. think i will like the vinyl over cloth since it will be easier to clean and maybe hold up a little better

If you experience REB(random explosive bowls) vinyl is the way to go, E-Z clean up

i have been thinking about getting some suspension seats for my rig since i have had to go under the knife cause of a broken hip i want something a little easier on my hip and back, i was wandering what brand and style of seat everyone likes have been looking at the corbeau ultra wide or maybe a set of twisted stitch pro seats need one in a wide since i am a bigger guy 5 10" and about 250lb so have not really looked at the mastercraft or prp seats
I crushed my hip back in 04 and had to have a full hip replacment on my left side in Dec 05. I have the Carbeau ultra SS in my buggy with black vinyl and have been really happy with mine, however I did have to put doors in my buggy to make it easier to get in and out of when on a hill side with wet feet.

I've built 2 buggies with the vinyl corbeau seats, and ridden in several others with them. Get them wet, and they take about a week to dry out. Ask Mark about spending a weekend with the wet ass, Patrick never rides his ****, so he's no help :'( :flipoff1: . Greg, Austin, Travis and several others in the club have the cloth ultras. They dry out in a few hours.

I've got the corbeau ultra ss's in my rig.. same with my brother in his 4Runner and dad in his CJ7... they are great for the cheap price. Now you said you were lookin at the wide ultras, my dad has them in his FJ40 which for him (skinny dude) was a waste. For the money they are great, I like my all vinyl ones. I would definetly want to try twisted stitch depending on the cost though because on the corbeau's you can tell they are not top notch quality but they do get the job done!!

did they bolt up or did you have to spring for the $90 slider on the yoter? ;)

This is also a very true statement. the water seeps down into the foam through the seams and the seat appears to be dry, but once you put your azz in it...................................

Instant wet-azz! :cougar:

I originally bought the sliders but then thought (wow that's a lot of $$$) so I sold the sliders to a local wheeler. Kelly helped make some mounts. They are ghetto fabulous but they work good as hell :dblthumb:

You mean you changed the directly welded to the floor way?

I bought a set of the Corbeau Bajas with cloth centers. Haven't taken the rig out too much yet but they seem ok. Wide ones would have been a tight fit for me on the chassis side but I still have some room between the regulars. Hopefully I'll be a few pounds lighter after this year so they'll fit better.

We got them because of my wife's hip replacement 2 years ago. 28 years old and have a porcelain hip now! :wtflol:

Tabs are directly welded to the floor son! seats unbolt. I did say ghetto in my post :****:

So the seat carrying your big ass around is welded to sheet metal? Safety first!

2 tabs per seat is welded to sheet metal... the other 2 are welded to a 1X2 rectangular tube bolted into the floor with factory bolts.

It's safe, ask Kelly. :****:
