Taking a trip to Moab UT in July

Don't stop at 21 road in Grand Junction unless your on your way home. Spots in there can put BFE in Moab to shame. In July, I would skip wheeling in Moab and head straight to Lake Powell. Save the Moab trips for Spring/Fall. I currently live in Missouri, but used to be 3-4 hours from Moab in Aspen, Colorado. No way I'd go to Moab in the middle of the summer. Way too hot.

Weather report is highs under 101 for the next 5 days. I just remember camping at Silverton, Colorado 20 years ago in July. Temps there were 50's in the morning and 70's in the afternoon. We decided to drive over to Moab and Arches NP for a one-day side trip. Must have been 110 over there at midday.

We ended up having a great time, the heat was really a non-issue for us as we were prepared. Drank a ton of water though! It ended up raining almost every afternoon and cooled it off! Lol.

Sounds and looks like y'all had a great trip. We need more pictures for sure, but I hear there's a trip already being planned for next year....
