This project all started almost exactly one year ago when a partially completed Evolution chassis (#001 to be exact) from WOD came up for sale. WOD had been building it out slowly for the customer over the course of a few years and he eventually decided the project wasn't for him. It was already a well built roller complete with many top of the line parts. I got a deal I couldn't pass up so I turned the project back over to WOD to finish out turn key ready to ride. The plan is to build a rig capable of double duty as an all day trail riding queen as well as a competitive rock racer setup to run in the ACS, ARC, and SRRS style rock bouncing series.

The day she came home...

Looks good ! :woot: :woot: :woot:

One question.
How do you like the ride with the seats laid back at such an angle?

Not good. They weren't mounted in those pictures and we changed to the Ultra's later on (taller, wider). It's perfect now.

First thing to go was the big ole wide 42 SX2s and 15x12 rims in favor of the BFGs

His and hers. That's Revolution #001 on the left. Mine is at full bump but you can see how low and mean it is. We will have 8" uptravel all around at ride height though :dblthumb:

My Dad and the best mechanic I know. He's already been a big help with this build. Also a shot in Adam's shop the day we dropped it off to get finished out turn key. Adam and the WOD crew is great. He was pretty excited that #001 was back to get finished out.

Will post more updates later. Lots to come.

Those seats were set up for a real laid back style, which is cool, but I didn't like them at all. We did have to modify things a little to lower the front of them/raise the backs up to a more functional position for me. I am used to driving rigs with seats a little too far back for me, but on this one I really wanted everything set up to fit me perfectly.

I saved one of those pics of it on the trailer well over a year ago. Thought it was badass. Looking forward to updates.

Awesome! Thanks! I have been holding off on any build updates until recently, so I have a little catching up to do. I'm excited to see the finished product myself!

Thanks so much!! I will have it out just as soon as its all buttoned up, hopefully soon. You know how it goes with a timeline on a build like this. I'm ready to have it but don't want to rush anything unnecessarily.
You know I am definitely up for a rematch! I may not be so nice next time though ;)

This is gonna be a great lil buggy, I look forward to seeing you get to romp in a buggy set up for you. My little girl wants a ride when it's done.

I wondered who ended up with this rig.

You can make andrew follow you around and carry your purse while you kill hills! molaugh

Kind of like the old "hold my beer" saying with a twist - Hold my purse and watch this! ;) I'll do good to keep up with Andrew hill killin, but I'll certainly try. It's going to be awesome to have our own rigs out at the same time.

You guys are doing a killer job, and I can't wait to see the finished product and hit the trails in this buggy. I won't know what to do with a buggy that actually fits me! Your little girl is welcome to ride anytime!!

More progress! These pics are from one of the first times I visited Wide Open Design and got to see it with body panels.
