Nice work peeps! :clappy:

I hope a sign is going up explaining WHY the trail is being closed? I don't want to see some asshats pulling that down with a winch

There gonna have one hell of a time pulling that down with a winch its pretty solid!

They would have to basically pull every pole out of the ground to get by

yeah, but you know what I mean. I think it would be a good idea to have an appropriate sign, not just something that says "NO TRESSPASSING/TRAIL CLOSED". some people are just anti-everything-jackasses and will phawk it up just a matter of course :wtf:

There was already some assclowns who assured me that the gate would be torn down in a matter of days.

I'm sure there will be a sign made.

The aformentioned assclowns said it would be torn down in 3 days. Little do they know I put 5 day welds on the posts :;

It will get destroyed, no doubt, but it will take a while. some idiot will cut the cables but it's not gona happen over night, it's gona take some doin', The posts arnt going anywhere. They are ancored with 10" x 5/8 bolts in to solid granite and I welded the nuts on.

I was thinking it would be a good idea to paint them a bright color, and or post signs along the way like the "Gate Ahead" signs so that no one on a bike comes flying down the trail and gets sliced to ribbons from cable run across a trail that up until that point they thought was open. Then again, Ive never been back there so I dunno if a bike could even be flying along to potentially let this happen...

Other than that, looks like you guys did a good job! I didnt get up there until the afternoon, and I didnt know where the work was being performed since as I posted before, I know NONE of the names of the trails, I just happened to know the area Crash was talking about. So, I got there and found lots of trucks, campers, and trailers, but no people. I started back into the trail to find you guys, but took the right fork and obviously no one was there. Ive gotten stuck in that pit on the left fork before, and my girls Runner is stock, so we couldnt/didnt want to risk getting back there to find you all. We hung around running other trails and stuff and kept checking back trying to find someone that might know where you guys are and or give a ride, but uh, never saw anyone. So, we took off around 5 and headed home. Although, we did have a lot of fun wheeling some minor trails and Ashley was getting used to her 4Runner.

I just wish that I would actually manage to meet some of you one of these times

Looks like you get to throw a couple rocks at me now Crash ;)

TJ you were on the right path.... but when you take the right fork, you're suppose to turn into the trees and zigzag thru those trails, then u pop out onto another gravel road and follow that one up.

As for warning signs, I think there will be some. But for the first couple days we might hear aboot dirtbikers whiping out tuff over the cable :haha: :haha:

The dirt bikers were really the only ones who pitched an attitude today, and the 1 zuki and xj that said the gate was gonna get torn down in a matter of days.

GREAT JOB GUYS!!!! sorry that I wasnt there, I had to work, sucks being the only mechanic(makes it hard to leave when things need to get done)

Oh, is that all?

Haha, I guess I just needed an escort. Like I said, I dont know the trails out there that well. I always stopped at that pit, didnt know there was a way around. Maybe Ill go back out and try and find it. I assume we can still go back there so long as we dont try and go past the gate, right? I wanna see it in person. How tall are those poles? Those GAS-GAS (or whatever) guys do some crazy bunny hop type crap... Worried about them hopping over it?

No one ever did tell me WHY it got closed, lol.

Yeah, that guy in the Zuki was a **** IMO. He kept stopping next to and trying to flirt with Ashley (my girlfriend) in her Runner, and she was getting pissed. He told her it wasnt nice of me to leave her alone, referring to the fact that I had passed him on the way out of the last puddle, and she was waiting to go through it until I was out. I told her to tell him she wasnt alone because she had a Glock .40 named Betsey with her, lol. Not to mention his comments to me as well as others about the fence coming down in 3 days. I wanted to tell him that it would only come down because **** heads like him would take it down, but he didnt stop driving by as he was making his comment.

EDIT: Who was there in the Jeep when I was trying to talk Ashley into crossing the puddle because she didnt want "her" (the truck) to drink water? I thought that was pretty cute, lol. Thanks for the words of encouragement for her, lol.

I love that one trials bike guy's comment.

"you guys are serious, huh."

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Then he rode right past us up to the wall after we explained it was CLOSED. He didn't care. We explained it again on his way down, that it was this or the whole trail, and he seemed to take it a little better.

Yep, those guys made sure they told EVERYONE. They're now at the top of the list of suspects when something happens to it. Genuises. :looser:

I didnt recognize either the zuki or the xj. The zuki was White with a mild lift and prolly 31s or so with a cracked windshield and a bikini top i believe. or it was a hardtop that had been hacked. (no doors yesterday)

The XJ was purpleish maroonish, mild lift and 31's to 33's stock wheels i do believe.

There are some final pics floating around, back on page 12 there are some pics incase you didnt see them already.
