The "Ricky B'day" ride

Damn that's early, doubt I can get the wife ready that early. I was thinking 7am or so, it is only an hour drive from here.

I have been bustin it to get everything ready. If this damn thing doesn't work properly this weekend I am going to burn it and collect the insurance money. Moved the computer to a safe place, hopefully fixed my fuel starving problem.

Matt I know you are laughing right now and will be laughing this weekend when I am sitting in the woods by myself trying to figure out why the pos wont work, and thats OK.

Ricky, If it breaks down again I am getting drunk in the back seat of your ride again. I do realize you will probably be riding with you dad. That means I will be sitting in the parking lot by myself getting drunk.

For everyone else see you Saturday morning....

Hopefully you killed the gremlin. I hate electrical problems. Hard to fix things you can't see.

Got most of my stuff fixed. Started out as replacing the axel seals in both axels. Lot of wrenching, but a fairly easy job. Then find two teeth off the ring & pinion in the front. Wheel bearings bad in the front end. Then replaced two rear brake lines that got killed by the coilover. Go to bleed the brakes, the a damn bleeder breaks off.

Tonight, replace caliper, bleed brakes, fill diffs with fluid. Should be good to go.

prolly be there saturday morning sometime...
I need to find a hotel or bed-n-breakfast(wifes idea) for saturday night and sunday.

I will be coming from the Hartselle area(south of huntsville on 65)...would it be best to come down 65 to Bham and goto I-20? or could I come down to Cullman and hit 278 to Gadsden to 431 through Anniston? that way looks like a lot of little towns to go through, even though it is like 40 miles closer...

Brian

Its definately closer coming down 278 than going to Bham and its not that bad of a drive. Thats the way i go since im coming from the Cullman way

You gonna ride friday John G?? theres a couple of us gonna try and ride at least half a day friday
