I will probably but a little angle in the bottom edges..just for looks.

More progress today, some regression. All of the lights work. Headlights, brights, turn, marker, hazards..but the signal switch has a fault in it and won't signal to the right. Also found the ignition switch harness has a short and when turned to acc it bumps the starter. ARB compressor won't shut off when switched on, and it blew a line out..that won't go back in and stay in. But the wiring is done and it works. Still have to wire up the radio and CB. I will still have a few circuits (wires) left over that I will tie up for later use.

Time to check around for a new signal switch and ignition switch harness.

Started the day off with a great Craiglist find, only $250. Moved onto cutting the bottom corners off of the bumper. Mounted it up, installed the winch and PIAA lights. Moved onto bolting up the 2F valve cover. Currently working on closing up the 2F aircleaner.

2F aircleaner assembly back together and on, now to figure out how to close the gap between the car and it.

I have some ARB issues. Waiting for a reply from them. When I engaged the front locker it blew the line out, the compressor does not shut off at 100 psi..and the rear switch only lights up when the compressor is on, and the front locker switch is on...videos for entertainement.

Brown dropped off a box of goodies. I am impressed by the quality of Bills product, and even more impressed with his customer service. This is the seat from kit from Overland Werks. I would have done this myself but the kit plus shipping costed about as much as the raw materials up here would have.

STILL NO REPLY FROM ARB SINCE THE INITIAL EMAIL REPLY...Renton WA is about to have some issues....

A few things done this weekend. Finished my brake lines, and started working in Cumminscruisers seat bracket. Went through and welded all of the needless holes in the tub up as well. So much space under the drivers seat I am considering mounting an airtank under there, as well as a box for some odds and ends. Right now I have it all welded together, just need to figure out the mounting tabs for the seat belts (4 point harness maybe?) and the mounting of the seats. Once I have it all planned I will start working on the rear 2003 TJ flip and fold seat mounting. Found some additional issues with using a 2F air-filter assembly on a 1971 or older FJ40 it hits the hood proprod and split seam preventing the hood from closing. Realized sometimes the easiest solution is the one smacking you in the face..just going to make a new bracket for the 1F air-filter housing. Also did some spring cleaning, rolled the FJ40 back and found quite a few lost treasures among all of the dust and debris.

Just need to find some 03 TJ flip and fold seat brackets....off the Ebay

Yeah, the little small stuff at the end always seems to take longer than anything else. Do you have any major stuff left or is it mostly just putting it back together?

I am not sure if this is true or not.....

but on my ARB I was having the same issues with one switch not lighting up unless the other was on... bla bla..

well the response I got was that it was actually the front switch that was not supposed to light up unless the rear was on, and I had to switch my wiring at the solenoid (I had them reversed).

I was told that it was "supposed" to be like a "safety" thing for the locker so that the operator was not just running on the front only locked while the rear was unlocked.

this could have just been a bunch of jibberish from the peeps to get me to leave them alone, but I switched the solenoids and I have not had any issues.

I still have to have the rear engaged before I can lock the front, but eh... I got a good deal on the units so I will just deal with it.

oh.. and mine are a bit older units as well, I have the older style switches. Not sure if that makes any difference.

Sounds to me like you've got a bad pressure cut-out switch...And as for the front not being able to lock unless the rear is, there is a way to wire it so either can be run at any time...You just need to modify the harness slightly...
This...in a nutshell...:redneck:

Yup, I called Marc at ARB in Renton yesterday and he broke it down for me. This is the first time I have ever used a purely ARB system. The compressor and rear locker have to "powered" up for the front to work...its a safety thing he said. He did mention that I could bypass it though. He is sending me a new fitting and pressure switch so all should be good. Thanks for the link too...sometimes I just prefer to use the front locker

Okay, went back and unplugged the entire ARB system and redid the wiring to ensure I did it right (no beer involved). Installed the new pressure switch and line fitting. Compressor still does not shut off..now I am curious if it even gets to 100 psi.

Moved on to cleaning up some of the remaining wiring..media player installed, need antenna for it. Installed the CB as well. Re connected all of the coolant lines, just need to install the heater now.

This weekend will be flip and fold seat installation thanks to the almost impossible task of finding the brackets for this seat. I also we be modifying the Overlandwerks seat mounting bracket. It was pointed out to me in another thread, and once I sat in it and looked up I noticed...my eyes look right at the bottom edge of the visor.

A few things got done this weekend. Found a more common power steering gear box of an 81 toy 4x4. Still need to pull the pickup pitman arm. Re-purposed some old metal to make the brackets that will go under the tub for the TJ flip-n-fold seat mounting hardware. Filled my diffs with some cheap NAPA gear lube, once they break in they will get the Royal Purple treatment. Also installed my NAPA belts (thanks Georg for the part number). The last pic is where I welded in some 3/4 square tubing to the inside of the tub. It is angled for drainage, and has some drain holes every few inches. This will be used for routing speaker wires and the hands free mic from the media player. Now the pics:
