Thornbirds - others opinions?

I've got a 04 Sport Trac for long drives, yet i seem to always take the Jeep!

Sorry to hear you had to pay for them, Thornbirds are a permanant blemish on Interco's record. I would ditch them as quickly as possible.

Wimp. I got LTBs on my 88 Bronco and it's a huge drum on wheels. But then again I love the sound of Swampers, it's very soothing. :redneck:

Thornbirds suck donkey d i c k! My buddy got a "good deal" on a set. He cut 2 of them driving on a jobsite, and tore the center out of a 3rd just goin down the road. The tread area on them is surprisingly thin, you could pop one with a thumbtack. The sidewalls look cool but they chunk out easily on tree roots or rocks. Don't take them off road in the PNW you'll regret it.

from my experience wheeling with people who ran thornturds

you will have to pay someone to take them off your hands. they suck for any offroad situation and suck even worse on the street.:stirpot:

Join a Pickup forum. Sell them to some guy who mall crawls a Chevy 1/2 ton 4x. Look for a truck with a chrome light bar in the bed and twice pipes with chrome tips. :clappy:

yeah, i threw them on craigslist, and kinda threw that statement out there.
maybe for a mall crawler / use amour all etc...

honestly, - i don't know how to sell things w/o being honest... sure i buy & sell... and try to get things cheap & sell them for a profit... but, how do i say, "everyone thinks these tires suck ass!" so - uummmm, yeah...

i basic have to say, most people think these tires are terrible for offroad, but there ok for that big tire truck look at the mall or beach.

I ran some 31 thornbirds on one of the many samis i have had . They do suck in the snow. I ran them at evans and elbe and I didnt think that they were as bad as everyone made them out to be. I did end up selling them and I put on 34x9.50 15 tsl's on and that made a big difference but the 34's measure 29/32 tread depth so they worked much better.If you can find someone that will buy them or trade do it but most of these people are just dogging on them cause everyone else is. They arent the best tire out there but are that bad.

I've never ran them, just kinda thought they've always looked cool. but i think they're more for that, "LOOK" feature than actual performance.
someone will swear by them, or want them to give that 4sale rig the look.

i'll get rid of them to someone.:;

So now that everyone says they are no good you want to sell them. Just listen to what everyone says and you will make it through life just fine. If you would have listened to me you wouldnt be stuck with a Jeep.How mush tread is left on those tires as my buddy needs so 35's for is everyday driver?
