Gas is killing me, Im gonna make the trip this weekend to Mountainside, but DAYUM I cant keep this up.
We need some help, everything is getting so expensive.

???

I feel you bro.... Im gonna end up missing all kinds of outta town rides I bet.

:-X

My Trailer needs **** , my truck needs ****, I still need buggy ****... I need appliances in the new crib, on and on and on and on man.

Luckily, I live close enough to Grayrock and Gardendale and other spots I can go get my fix on the cheap cheap if it comes down to it. thumb.gif

Yep....it isn't just hype anymore. Gas prices, flooding,Al Gore..etc....is causing eveything to spiral outta control. I don't even normally buy groceries and I've still noticed some stupid high prices on some items! Heard a bunch of friends and neighbors over the past few weeks cancelling vacations etc..... :-\

I let my truck get down to the low fuel light last week... filled it Saturday morning.

90.01 before it clicked off. DAYUM ! Thats my 1/2T gas burner on the cheap **** ! laughing1

I live off that light. now that my gauge is on the fritz I have to be a little more careful. I need a new vehicle it takes a 1/4 of a tank to get to work and back a day, damn gas prices.

I know what you saying man - I need new trailer in the worst way but **** every out of town wheelin trip is a $300 to $400 minimum. I live an hour form WITC ( Summertown ) and 1 1/2 form Wooly's, you just never know how good it is to have parks that close until you start having to drive 3 hour each way.

Trust me I live by that, thats the only reason I have anything at all. You'd laugh at my financials laughing1

I go to Wal Mart with my wife every Sunday to grocery shop. Yesterday I noticed the large bags of shredded cheese (2lb. bag I think) is $9.83... I was like holy **** that has gone up.

I remember what you said at xrra @ Grayrock..... " I got no savings, living on ramen..... ****. But hey, **** it. I got a buggy." molaugh molaugh

Sometimes I think I would be better off in the long run with a $100 a day coke habit than this **** and it's only going to get more expensive as the years go one

Just have to be picky about where you want to ride. Most people can't afford to ride every weekend, just have to figure out where you want to ride and plan for it. I know when ever I get my buggy I won't be able to ride all the time like I want to but I will save up and plan for it.
I stress about the prices of **** all the time, but in the end there isn't anything we can do to change it.

laughing1 at JR... that was true though, I wiped out everything I had to make it to that damn race... used up every buddy hook up and owe a thousand thank you's

But I gots me a buggy ! loller.gif

Im slowly tryin to get some money back in savings, Im back to cheap ass mode for the most part , hell I havent bought a thirty of Keystun's in over a week now man  :flipoff1:

I still wheel quite a bit but not as much as I would like. You have to be creative in your planning. Fuel is a big expense but the "other" cost will hurt you if you are not careful. Try to double up on a trailer with someone to split fuel cost, room with someone to split the hotel cost, camp, eat sandwiches instead of going out to eat, bring leftover meals from home to heat up. There are lots of ways to save money but you have to plan.

We are going to Clayton this weekend and the whole trip should only cost me $350, unless I break something. That is pretty inexpensive for a 1100 mile 4 day trip.

Wheeling is cheap to me, it's fixing/upgrading that really blows the budget. I'm hoping that the e-locked hi-pinion 3rd and new rear housing are the last things I have to buy for a while. I will say that it's kind of cool that my PTO (vacation time) has built up to 200 hours. With all this broken buggy crap I've had to live through I haven't been burning any paid time off at all.

In other news, Diamond axle said they shipping my new housing but I'll feel better when I get the tracking number. I called for it today and he said the computer was down. I don't want to say they've been sketchy but they have had problems with delays. I'll just feel so much better when I see it on the UPS website.

I really cant talk... I wheeled 3 weekends in a row took 2 off to move, and will be wheeling again this Saturday laughing1

Its the bigger hauls as you mention David that require alot more attention. I gotta buy a washer and dryer Friday otherwise Id ride all weekend, but after two weeks with the same underwears on rotate between inside outside and freeball I figured Id better make something happen

:flipoff1:

Its amazing how much money you realize you spend after you take some time off from wheeling and working on your rig.

Its the if / when you break something that really gets you down.... atleast it does me, Im like dayum... here we go again :-X
