Update

Few more intimate details about the build:

Toyota drivelines front and rear. D60â€™s will have a mounting flange out of the pinion.

The front and rear winches connected to the axles will be double lined for more compression force and to slow down the â€œsensitivityâ€ of the pull.

Full body panels with Zeus fasteners. Panels will be Lexan and either clear and/or â€œsmokedâ€ grey. As well as a covering for the engine bay area, probably a flexible plastic of some sort.

Iâ€™m hoping to get 40 degrees of turning out of the Bobby Long CV joints, 45 degrees is possible. The limiting factor is the links and the backspacing of the wheels is pretty deep at 5â€.

The rear steer joy-stick will be mounted between my legs where the battery used to be. And Iâ€™d like to mount up some kind of cable to the rear axle and a gauge in-cab of some sort to help me designate how far the tires are turned, also to easily find center.

Weâ€™re on month 3 for the build and looks like things should start picking up here soon. Just in time for the snow. Iâ€™ll be making my own decision if the red label Krawlers SUCK in the snow or not. :;

OK, I gotta ask the question. Why run a little guy motor when you have Big Boy axles. Doesnt make sense to me, but I know you little motor guys like your Toy stuff. Not trying to insult, just figuired I would ask. Otherwise looking good.

I've been thinking about my fuel cell and would like to know what you buggy guys have done to keep gas from spilling out when youâ€™re on your side. A rollover ball only helps if youâ€™re upside down. I know you can coil up your vent line so it doesn't spill out when you flop. Any other ideas?

Will the tranny and t-cases spill out from the top if I roll/flop? I'd like to address these issues before I find out the hard way.

Yer biggest issue is oil out yer t-case , Via the shifter. More fuel is at the trailer with a aneorexic 4 gallon cell, Right? For my cell im doing the fugly coil trick.
