toyota axles into samurai

Hi All:

The diffs should be 3.7 ratio. I don't know, but I'd guess the disc brake backing plates from a 1979-85 Toyota 4wd mini-truck would fit.

A common upgrade on disc front brake Land Cruisers is to use the V-6 Toyota mini-truck front calipers with the vented rotors of the 60/62 Series wagons. The V-6 calipers have four large pistons, unlike the 4 cylinder trucks and TLC calipers which have two large, two small pistons.

The rear leaf springs from that BJ60 would be good for a SOA swap on any 40/45/55/60/62 Series Land Cruiser.

Regards,

Alan

Bought them today, $240 CAD.for the pair seemed ok. Alan I suspect your assumptions are correct about the rebuild of brake and bearing components and they are fairly rusty, but very solid the thirds are open diffs, I have yet to confirm gear ratio just unloaded removed springs ect and brushed off lots off dirt and grime. front measured 59" rear 58" between wms. Will be needing front backing plates as they had been damaged beyond repair. The only other parts the guy saved from the BJ 60 was front fenders, I was hoping he might have a power steering box.

Anyone needing leaf springs is welcome to these, I can get measurements if interested. Also have stock yota rear springs from a 92 with one broken leaf. (not main leaf):hi:

Good to know Alan, Thanks!:awesomework: And TJ, I'm pretty sure I have your number, but go ahead and PM it to me in case I don't!!!:redneck:
