Toyota "race" truck

I am a trail queer hater. **** their shitty parts and shitty business practices.

On another note we just had the tre discussion around the fire last weekend and yes, you are better off with parts store FJ80 tre's than with trail mart's cheap chinese junk.

So we need examples of their shitty parts screwing you..... no more axles for life means shitty business practice??

I've had quite a few of their parts fail. Like almost every one I've used. Not to mention they do everything they can to get out of warrantying something of theirs that breaks. I'm not even including the fact that they rebranded their own shitty dirty 30s as Longfields and don't honor the warranty that they promised to honor. I will spend my money and support businesses who actually care about making quality parts not just a dollar.

i got 25mm KLM bearings with my hellfire knuckles. they seem to be just as good of a quality as the koyo's if you are looking for another option.

Like what fails?? What have you bought that didn't work and you had to send back ??

Random pics to get back on track.

I finally got around to modifying a floor jack for off-road use. This will make tire changes a lot faster than with the hi-lift.

Put a hood together and also add a passenger grab handle. I went ahead and swapped in some new rod bearings yesterday, seamed to get rid of some of my engine knock.

Made this little 3/8-in Drive Breaker Bar and extension holder, I need to swap out that hose clamp for one you can loosen by hand.

And my spare is moved to free up some storage space below.

looks like a long trip, nice rig, and lots of fun. Welcome to the area, and thanks for bringing the sunshine with you, it's supposed to be nice all week.

I haven't had any non driver induced issues with the TG tie rod ends. I bumped a rock going "fast" and broke the passenger TRE, steering arm pin and trunnion bearing. I am swapping in the trunnion bearing eliminator kit today. The Marlin 25mm pins won't fit in my arms, I have a set sitting on my bench right now that I can't use.

This is a touch late but we machined my 6 shooter knuckles and pressed the 25mm pins on. I am pretty pleased with how they turned out and is a pretty sweet set up. I am not the biggest fan of Trail gear **** either but I do like a few of there products.

I am looking to do the same with my arms. I am willing to drive and buy beer lol.

Got some headers and steel timing chain guides for my 22re. I am also going to throw some new rod bearings in while its apart.

Well instead of a rebuild I got a running engine for $250. Getting the engine ready for propane, just need a few more things to get it in the truck. Also added some tube and mocked up some window nets.

The 25mm setup is a direct fit for the original Marlin 6 stud billet arms. The trail garbage cast 6 stud arms use the stock size pin so they have to be machined to fit. The 25mm bearings are a special deal. I want to say they are a different bearing with a steeper ramp angle that Marlin has special made but it's been so long that detail could be wrong.

I realize this is an old thread BUT the Koyo bearing is out of Kawasaki Triple trees and can be gotten from places other than Marlin. Just an FYI to people. I sourced them for myself years ago when Marlin was on like 6 month Backorder.

Well, yea this happened lol. Anyone wheeling tomorrow?
