Plenty of threads on here going back and forth about what does and don't work.
Most with 205s don't keep stocks gears but I will be running this setup for a while till I come up with funds for a atlas or some sort of better reduction.
No bouncing in my future but mostly trail riding with plenty of rocks.

I haven't driven this setup since it's not done so I'm not sure what to expect l, but from reading I am concerned about pulling thru brakes and so on...

What can I expect with stock stall ( what I currently have)
What's a good medium? 2000?

5.3 stockish
Th350
F 205
3.73s

3.73s & a 205 will slip a converter so badly it'll be ruined by the time you get some more gear imo

It'll work fine if he sticks to 31-33" tires...

Otherwise you better have some serious HP and bounce that **** at 50mph.

4.10s and a 205 on 39.5 pitbull rockers smoked my fresh TH350 within 2 rides.........

Re:

I'm running a th350,np241, 4.10s in the axles for now, with a 2200 stall, and honestly I wish it was a little lower. Alot of times rather than being able to crawl up onto something I have to bump myself up there. I'm sure my axle gears hurt me, but I think my stall is a little high too

Forgot to mention 44s but I'm sure that not a huge help

Yeah it'll be undriveable except for all but the easy trail. It'll be like wheeling a stockish vehicle in high range.

Re: TQ converter stall....

Gutless will be the best description of power! You may want to run a 4 speed until you can buy a lower gear wether it be tcase or axles

Re:

Looks like I'll be doing some light trail riding to get the bugs worked out of the new setup.

5.13s or 38s

I was tempted to buy elliots scs but funds went quite ther

I would watch for a used atlas 3.8- 4.3 and not go lower than 4.88 in the axles

Can we get a picture of what we are working on here? Doublers are long and heavy! Average cost of 700-1200

Hero is the new "bullet proof" do you need a $3500 tcase?
Atlas is pleanty strong with anything less than 600 hp! And cost around $1800
Under drive is good but adds 8ish inches to drivetrain and cost $1400ish
