well... i went to china for 4 months. before then i rented a plasma and cut off the bs IFS... right now the rig hangs with a pair of leafs up front. i need to finish up the front axle, then start on the rear end just to get it rolling around. updates soon!!!

so lately i've battled with money issues and the thought of parting it out. it sits without its IFS and leafs hanging under it like it has since before i went to china. i need to finish this pile. just working on it will bring back some motivation, i guess. just need to finish buttoning up this front end and get the ball rolling. *sigh*:booo:

finally got the FROR mounting plate. what a sweet unit, BTW. I cant wait to build this up. been really busy in school lately.:booo:

some stuff done...

I had to cut the **** out of the front core support and body mount to get the box far enough forward. the front hanger is 1/2", the springs are 1.5" from stock, and I redrilled the perches 1.375" back, which is a combined total of +3.375" from stock. it would have been easier if I had a flat pitman arm, then i wouldn't have had to rotate the box forward so much. also, this cab was in a head on collision apparently. the driver side of the core support is all fawked. it's been that way since I purchased this cab at the yard. so having the front end smashed back a bit, and the box far forward really didn't make this a fun job.

still trying to figure out this ****ing wheel stud issue... i find it funny that not more people have had this issue with their studs being too short for aluminum spacers... but i think you guys DO have the problem but just say **** it and run them anyway.

I guess i gotta wait.. and work on something else. next week hopefully i'll be picking up the steel and bushings for the crossmember. it's finals in school this week and i certainly care more about this truck.

took it for a spin today once i wrapped up the front end. drove like ****. the rig started right up without even charging or jumping the battery after 10 months of sitting. so much for optima red tops being shitty.:eeek: now it's time to install the cases and do the rear. i gotta lotta cutting to do today. lotta work!! woo.

TG forgot my braided line for the rear. that's not the 1st thing i didn't get that i paid for. everyone makes mistakes, but damn.. really? how hard is it to look at a checklist and pack a box correctly? wtf. anyone gotta spare? I dont feel like waiting on them. shoulda gone w/ marlin.:haha:

gotta wrap up the rear suspension, then install the duals... have drivelines made, rear diff built, then trivial bs from there on out.:cheer:

i've been in my garage just about every day for the past few weeks trying to make things work. but i mostly just sit around... look at it and drink ale.:redneck: slowly but surely ****'s getting done!:awesomework: hopefully i can get it done for the trip out to naches, bunk.:beer:
