You can......just become a politician. Then you can do whatever you want and none of the laws will apply to you.

We got a couple places to have some fun out by Zanesville. Well have to work something out sometime and you and the boy can come with us and use my rig if you don't wanna haul yours up here. I got plenty of friends I can hop in with.

After the actual "Captain Phillips" event and subsequent pitate craze, I thought about starting a ship escort security company with me and 7 other veteran buddies. It was a really simple-

2 weeks on, 2 off
2 man teams, 12 hour shifts
Each man carries a Barrett M82A1 and M4 (for small hatch doors on a ship)
Shipping company feeds and shelters us

I wasn't looking to get super rich, just do even split $70-80k per man. Also not sure about maritime laws, having weapons on a merchant ship and all...

Bunch of companies already do this and make damn good money at it.

Nah, I'm tired of being broke and living check to check. She's fine with it because that's the way Craig and Sherry were. I grew up that way, and I'm not gonna make my boys live under a roof like that.

But I googled it, looks like there are lots of companies out there. A veteran run, not so professional company might have the lowest bid, but not being mall cop certified like the other companies will hurt me.

So are there stupid crazy regulations for this kind of work?
I remember that ship that got taken by somali pirates. The whole time I wondered why none of them carry and why those guys even made it on the ship w/o takin bullets to the chest.

Had to be restrictions. Would you have these as a subcontract security company??

Yep. I'd say there are international laws and regulations so that people can't turn an oil frieghter into a pirate battle tank and say they are a merchant ship. (Reference to Waterworld)

Lol. I figured

That stuff always perplexes me. Such is American life I guess.

It seems lawbreakers can slip through the cracks but a company just protecting themselves and their cargo are held super accountable.

Yeah, and me and 7 other vets are working jobs punching a clock instead of building something special.

My wife thought I was crazy, but I told her the same thing as your plan. It seemed like a no brainier to me.

You do this just like if you went to work for a security company in Iraq.

You need to find a company that is based and operates outside of the U.S.. You will have to incorporate yourself and carry all of the insurance licenses that go with it. You will subcontract through this company so that if you **** up they can wash there hands of the situation and let be just your problem. Make sure you have a damn good CPA and an even better lawyer.

I wanna get my pilots license and buy a nice helicopter and do chopper tours over the grand canyon

Gotta bust yer balls occasionally otherwise you'd think I was mad at ya lol. It sucks being poor. It seems if you do get a raise it just goes to the ever increasing cost of living. I understand. You gotta do what you gotta do.
