Guys, I gotta back out of the X-mas tree run. Just SAS'd the 4rnr last week end and still need to do a few things including break in the front dif and reenforce front crossmember. Winch was a hard pull away from coming off.

Maybe next year.

Theirs ony like a ince of snow so just show up and get a tree...

I am going to drive up there tomorrow to see how the snow is, there are alot of people asking me if they should bring a trail rig or a daily driver. I will know tomorrow.

:hi:

Hmmm an inch eh?

I was up there a week ago and got stuck in 8+ inches of snow less than a mile down the gravEl rd to go to High Rock.

Skate creek had about 6" on it too.

But that was before the temp changes so i have no idea. I was under the assumption that if I couldnt come up with chains before then, that i wouldnt attend.

Just for reference, I was up copper creek road sunday and there was zero snow before the washout (after the rock pit). Friday and saturday might change things though. I won't be able to make it for the christmas tree run though. Have fun up there. :awesomework:

They are calling for snow saturday nite. It doesnt sound like much. Lets see what Crazy Daze finds out. Waiting for a report Corey... We are starting a backup plan Elbe hills for the wheelers if snows not happening whos game?

There is at least 3'-4' of snow at the top. No one has made it yet. I turned around on about 2.5' of frozen snow. It was powdery like sand. At least 33" tires and lockers are needed to go all the way around the loop.

As far as you went, were you able to see any good trees...or do we have to go up further to cut a noble fir?

There were good trees everywhere :flipoff: Last year we cut our trees at the very top. There is always Cox tree farm just before Eatonville where you can cut a trimmed tree too if you don't find a suitable one on High Rock Road. :awesomework:
