I went on a wheelin trip on saturday with a bunch of the local offroad shop guys. It was a blast! Lots of snow and stucks.
We met up at the offroad shop to grab tools and straps. Can you read the liscense plates?
We invaded the gas station to fill up.
We stoped at the trail head to air down our tires.
I aired my tire down a bit too much. Drove on it up the trail to the first climb anyway.
Driving up the trail.
At the first obstacle Andy(white truck) plowed the way up a very steep hill climb. The other two trucks tried a few different ways up the hill before the red truck blew out 1st, 2nd and reverse gears.
While Wade(bronco) and I were waiting for them to come back down wade went into a DEEP drift and got stuck trying to park next to me.
After pulling Wade out I realized I had even less air in my front left tire. So I waited for Andy to come down from the hill climb and air up my tire. Hes got air lockers. You can see him on the hill behind my truck.
Right after I pulled out wade he got stuck again. Theres our friend Brandon holding a Bud. Classic!
Andy towed the red truck down off the hill. The red truck drove home with only 3rd,4th and 5th gear, but it was a turbo.
After we air up my tire we continued on the trail towards the top of the mountain. Once we got there I was hauling up this hill and made it almost to the top. While I was backing down the hill I turned around and sunk right into a powder hole. All the tracks on the hill are from snomobiles. So there wasn't much packed snow around. I ended up sinking into the fluffy stuff a few times throughout the day. So did everybody else though.
At the hill you can see I was stuck pretty good. You can also see the heavy chevy that was really sunk in the snow. There wasn't anybody in it so they probably had a long walk. The rest of the crew in the way background about to hit up the hill.
Barnaby to the rescue. One quick tug and I was out.
Wade and his ballin Bronco Blazin up the hill!
After brawling around for a little we headed up to a spot in the sun were we had a pow wow.:smoke:
Barnaby got stuck pretty good. He's about to get a facial of snow.
I got stuck again. Notice the trail im on is just snomobile tracks. I went off the trail a tiny bit and it sucked me into the deep stuff.
A rear shot of how deep the snow was. Differential definately draging.
Before we left I had to try this gnarly deep CRUSTY hard snow drift. I didn't make it.

It was a great wheelin trip. I learned I need some wider tires and and aircompressor.
