What are most people running for a locker in a D60 front?

Yukon Grizzly lockers come with a 1 year $2000 warranty on associated parts and labor
Yukon Zip Lockers come with a 2 year $2000 warranty on associated parts and labor
Detroit lockers come with a 1 year warranty against manufacturers defects.
Lincoln locker, lifetime warranty costs a 12 pack.
Thanks,
Bobby

yukon grizzly lockers werk great and cheaper than a detroit and im pretty sure the guy at randys told me if it breaks it breaks in the locked position

i believe you are think'n of the zip locker. it uses the air psi to unlock so if you loose psi, it's locked.

Wouldnt it be easier to steer and get around in the woods with a locker versus welded or a spool ? A locker has quarter turn of slip before locking solid ? :dunno:

:dblthumb: I would much rather have to back up than have my locker ratchet and snatch on some front end parts.

Funny....i quit breaking parts when i ditched a welded front carrier and went to a Spartan. ???

What parts are they breaking? I had a Detroit in my buggy from the time it was built until I put the HP 60 in there and now it has the Grizzly Locker from Yukon. So far I've never had a problem.

Have always had issues with axles and detroits if you're in the gas when you land... When spooled or welded, I personally haven't seen the same 'shock load' type failures

just my .02

Mine had them front and rear when I got it and if you watch videos of my buggy everytime a tire came off the ground it would quit pulling then land then lock back in and start spinning again! In my logic if the tire kept spinning it wouldn't be as much of a shock load on the shafts? My back flip video the view from the side the front tires were spinning backwards but the rear locker unlocked for a split second may not have mattered but it won't happen again spooled up!

I see exactly what you guys are saying , there is a huge shock applied when they unlock and catch like that under a load .

Guess im lucky, I just always blew out Ring Gears

Just an FYI - If you ever plan to run RCV shafts, their warranty is void if the shafts are used with a welded carrier or spool.
