Dude, you asked and you got answers.. now, you may have not liked the answers, but they are the facts. large tires small ring and pinion and towing someone at that. not sure what you expected to hear.

Sounds like you want a refund from the person who set them up. good luck with that. whats a stock toyota come with 28" tires and your running what? I know damn well bobbys axles will out last those gear sets. they are the weak link now.

I would say just move on if you dont like your replys. I dont think your gonna get the pat on the back your looking for.

the only way to break all the teeth off like that is if you were IN the throttle when it let go and let the gears go through a full rotation or two. Maybe your pattern was set to shallow, maybe your carrier walked away from the pinion, maybe cryo treatments suck, maybe you should build a 60 :flipoff:

Bottom line is **** breaks, its hard to tell from pictures on the internet of what happed.

Say I had to save my life by completing a difficult trail, in terms of it being possible to finish with a stock 4x4. Give me a choice of the "best" 15-25 year old completely STOCK off-roader (truck, Jeep, SUV) from every manufacturer and I'll take a ****ing Toyota any day of the week.
