maybe they were shoved up someone's a-hole who was severely puckered and then tried pulling them out while twisting...
Who knows what really happend to them...
They come with a warranty, the warranty should be honored unless it can be proved they were in fact broken through a non-4x4 use scenario.
how bad does it hurt for Bobby to warranty an axle?? sometimes when your the big supplier an you just dont know, you just gotta eat it. these axles have paid his bills very well. giving up one axle is not going to put him in the poor house. I guess dealing with large venders must have its perks, and maybe some downfalls too.
maybe trailgear broke it just to see how Bob stands behind a product that they carry. doesnt TG offer a no Qs lifetime warranty?? I guess Bobs is a lots of Qs then maybe lifetime warranty.
Well brad he pretty much warranties everything. Look at this one.......he shouldnt have warrantied this one because it was installers error but he did anyway. http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=680552 This axle rockford wouldnt warranty so bobby ate the cost on it and sent the guy a new one.
That axle that this thread was started about did get warrantied before the thread was even started on pirate . The only reason it got posted was to show that some people are crooked and try to take advantage of the giving people.

Got a question for you.... Being the cheap person you are--if you blow a longfield---are you going to try and get it warranteed or you going to pony up for a new one?
Over the years/knowing bobby and how he handles his biz-- He has taken care of many a folk who have either fawked something up by there own actions or used the product improperly...
So whats the answer to my question?
no I wont warrenty it. bob told me never to come back to his place on the phone earlier:redneck:
that was after he said I was aloser and needed to grow up. I have had good dealing and known bob for along time.
I WILL NEVER KISS ANYBODYS ASS FOR A 10 PERCENT OFF COUPON:fawkdancesmiley:
I only stated the obvious. if it breaks= waranty it. I think bob and brian have made this the circus it is.
and I realy dont care, IMO:beer:
Wow Brad!!! Obviously you did not read the whole post. You were to busy looking at the pictures. We have already sent a new one back!!! And as far as a big supplier..... We are a mom and pop shop. These axles are very expensive and we don't make as much as you think on them. Does it look like we live in a mansion? It is a 79 mobile home. Yes, we do cover a lot of axles that were installed wrong and we know there is no way in hell Rockford will warranty them because they were installed wrong, so we have to throw them in the trash and eat it. And yes I know they took the inner shaft out of the birf and stuck it in the testing machine. The splines on the birf were slightly twisted. If the inner axle was twisted that much in a vehicle, in the birf, I don't think the inner guts of the birf would survive that kind of twist. How do I know... we test them in our machine all the time.
Ok--enough of the poo throwing.....
next person who does--gets a lil vacation...

you do live in a trailer. but you drive a mansion with you name on it.
if you dont like traigear, dont sell to them. it must be worth something to keep the account, right.:awesomework:
its funny how on the phone you tell me axles dont do that in rigs? really?? I was with you at the hammers when a fellow rolled in with a land cruiser and said his drive flange was bad, you made fun of him and said, I bet you ten bucks its youe axle. when the guy pulled his axles both sides were twisted just like the ones in the pics. you and I both joked and told the guy swap them side fo side and it should straighten them right out.
but hey they dont do that in a rig do they??:corn:
Go----wash :fawkdancesmiley:
