83 chevy 4x2 dually crewcab, stretched frame behind cab 24 inches and built a 12 footflat bed. Then I installed a 95 12 valve cummins diesel with a 95 auto.

I like the fenders on the short bed. Most don't. Some guy did the conversion with them and 22.5s and it looks SICK!!!

x2, seen one down here too. K5 if you do that you better share some pics cos that would finish your truck off :awesomework:

ya my guess is they will be way over priced but who knows im curious to see what happens:corn: , if there half ton can haul as much as a 3/4 ton or 1 ton im curious to see what there so called "3/4 ton's" towing capacity is

I didnt know a new tundra could haul as much as a 1 ton. hell thats news to me :haha:

According to the manufacturers sites. With the base motor in the 3/4 ton 2wd trucks (which are dogs), tow the same as the 5.7 Toyota. Reg cab long bed 2wd.. Which is the best any toyota can haul..

1989 F-250 7.3l diesel (pre-powerstroke) Banks sidewinder turbo added on.
5-speed manual
4x4, locked front and rear, and yes, have needed it.
I have a canopy now, but will eventually get a light camper.
I tow a 2200lb Samurai, and a 1200-ish lb trailer. Tows fine.
Loaded with what I tow, I pull Snoqualmie mostly at 70 until the very top when EGT gets a little high.
Unloaded get 15-16mpg, loaded (again I pull light) I got 13-ish all the way to Moab.

86 Chevy 2500 standard cab 350

3 speed manual

2wd

No camper but getting a canopy

Not sure on total weight but Jeep and 16"trailer

Speed up pass is at around 35-40 Mph in 2nd gear

Probably 10-12 mpg

just to let you know, max towing capacity for the toyota is 10,800... Dodge and Ford are into the mid 20's for towing capacity.

not in there 1/2 tons though:awesomework:

anyways this isnt what the threads about soooo back to the regualarly scheduled programing

actually the chevy half ton with the 5.3 in it is rated to tow more then the Tundra as well.. For some reason the half ton Dodge aint rated for jack though..

97 gmc yukon vortec 350

Yes it is a 4x4

Yes i have had to use it

K&N air filter and hypertec programer it tows extremely well... havent been over the pass with it yet but sumner hill on 410 with a bulldog tilt trailer and my sami on it at 60mph with ease.

My soon to be new tow rig will be my box truck. Im going to take to box off of it and put that on a trailer and flat bed my truck with a dovetail and put a removeable lumber rack on it so i can still use it for work. That has a 6.5 turbo deisel auto.
