So...

I was origionally going to go with the juice with attitude but since kelly screwed me I decided to not go with it.

So now I am going to go with guages as soon as robin gets them jewels for me :awesomework:

So my question is what module do you recomend? I am not going to do the smarty because from everything I have read there are too many issus with shift points on the auto's..

So what else should I look at?

I like my Edge Juice w/Attitude... BUT, their customer service sucks. I've been trying to get ahold of them about sending my box back for a software upgrade for the past few weeks, to troubleshoot my little surging problem I have with it... waited on hold, sent e-mails, left voicemails... no calls back.

No other suggestions, but I think you're on the right track NOT to go with the Edge box, simply because if you ever have problems with it... well good luck getting ahold of anyone to help you fix the problem.

I did like the Smarty stacked with the edge box when I tested out Jobless's... but to get the most performance the pump wire really needs to be tapped, there's no way around it... the Smarty itself adds some performance, but it can't compare to a module that taps the pump wire for power.

I have no complaints with my edge comp. But, there are alot of options out there now. Bully Dog seems to be gaining popularity, but I don't now anything about that. I like level 5 on my comp though!!!!:D :haha:

I have an option for you... wanna trade your ECM for a Catcher? 200 bucks plus your trade.. And I know for a FACT it works great. A Catcher is like a Smarty set on it's highest setting. Then you can add a TST to that a little ways down the road.. Let me know and I can call him. If you have any other questions about it, just ask:D

So far, I have no complaints whatsoever with my Edge Comp w/ tapped wire. It works for now. Still gotta do intake and injectors though...

as long as you make it past 30 or 40 minutes, you're good to go... If tapping the pump wire is going to crash your injection pump, you'll know right away.

Thats funny...Nuzz's truck had the pump replaced before he got it and the wire was disco'd until Lincolnlock found it. Guess he's good to go as its been a few months running that way.

Time to go change my sig

Thanks for the input guys. Ya I am looking for a multi level type because till I can dump 4k$ into my trany it will have to stay on a low level :booo:

But good news is robin got my guages and they are with cisco right now I guess so I am getting there slowly and the tranny goodies SHOULD be here mon/tues hopefully...

I wouldn't put anything on it until you have the money to get a trans. I have seen it too many times, people get a performance box and the trans is done in a couple thousand more miles. I also would not use a smarty with an auto. They are great for 3rd gen trucks with a stick, but for autos they suck IMHO.

Injectors.

I personally don't understand the need for an in cab adjustable box? So you can do what...dump in more fuel, make more smoke & make more heat?

After you get the box you find that you can't run it on higher settings because while towing all you do is cook the pyro. Then you start looking for a bigger housing or a bigger turbo or twins...

I just towed my shitbox 24hours staright to phoenix through Oregon,Idaho, Utah, etc...I set the cruise control for the speed limit plus a little extra and never saw above 1150 on the HX35 with the Smarty on level 5 and the little 60hp injectors.

Are you gonna race it?

Find someone selling their OLD school edge comp... they rock!!:awesomework: Then get injectors!

Caine has had good luck with his old Edge Comp...but he also put a bigger housing on his turbo...but it still gets hot :redneck:

Talk to some folks about injectors...there's nothing electrical to screw with and they always work. They also do not make heat like the boxes do.

you can get just as hot...

Agreed, more power will always produce more heat, but if you compare the way injectors make power as compared to the way comp boxes do there's a huge difference.

I noticed no increase in EGT's or smoke with the small injectors I had installed. Installing huge injectors may not produce the same results.

True... with the right injector turbo combo you can have pretty much no increase in temps and have plenty-o-power:awesomework:
