Whats with Krawlers?

Being you all don't have proper horsepower and Torque to warm your stickies to prime operating temperature your opinions are all moot...........

I have never owned any other "sticky" tire. The set I had before I just got my Krawlers was the 42" iroks. They did ok for what I thought and I did get denied a few times on some lines I tried. Now with the Krawlers I have yet to have to back away from something I wanted to go up. Im still looking and will report back if I find a trail that denies my rig on krawlers.
 
from judging many comps where you sit on one obstacle all day and watch many different setups go thru the same course. i have decided that no other tire works better from wet surface to a rock than the Krawlers. CC's are close but not as good.

thats why i sucked a mile of cock and sent a lot of money to some dude i never heard of before to get my new red stickies.:awesomework:

that dude i never heard of before is now the KING.

i even paid a few hundred extra so i could get the best. took over two years to get them. S&N had my money over a year and could not get any. when they gave my money back i was heartbroken....

i had even decided to go after a used set of Krawlers verses new CC's, then one day Lauren Healy decided to sell a set. i was the second person who saw the add on pirate. first dude tried talking him down in price i sent him a PM and offered full price today and i would gladly pay shipping.:cool:

however the only tire worse for the snow might be boggers.....

speaking of MTRs I thought I read around KOH time last year that the new MTRs were going to be readily available to the public in the competition compound. I haven't seen anything since, anyone know what the scoop is?

In true Goodyear/mtr sticky fashion they are priced insanely high. The 42's were $600 each a few months ago.

I have gave my experienced opinion here, its up to you to take it for what it is. But what I would really like to hear is real world experiences from those of you that are swinging from the nuts of BFG. And not just " I saw a Guy" or "I heard on the internet":;

Mike the same (poor) argument could be made for all of the products we do or don't use on our rigs. There are other ways to learn how well a product works besides actually using it...Yes watching a tire on another rig is a great way to see if it may or may not work well.....It's like saying I don't know that boggers suck because I've never used them. I know boggers suck, I don't have to mount them on my rig to varify that.:redneck:

That doesn't seem that bad for new stickies. Who sells them or do you have to go direct to goodyear?

There are too many variables to make a decision here, but unlike the majority of the sheeple round here I tested both these tires in the perfect scenario. Same rig, same terrain, and same UNBIASED DRIVER. What more could you want when you need to make an informed decision. Anyways I done here, catch you on the trail.:cool:
 
With all the folks sayin Krawlers suck in the snow, I'll give my 2 cents.

I've been tremendously please with the performance of the DOT tread, 37s in the snow. Wheeled them in quite a few differing snow scenarios: soft stuff, hard stuff, wet, dry, etc.... and thought they had great traction. Mine are pretty new, and have been SIPED by Schwabbies. Run 'em at low single digit air pressures. My rigs weigh between 4500 and 5000 pounds, are V8, automatics with Atlas's.
