When camping at rieter

I will check with Ron tomorrow and see how he feels about this matter, I have a feeling he will agree with me but like you say it will be best if we here too are all on the same page.
Thanks, DNR Kim

Any new news? on this subject? Looking at camping this weekend and would like to know for sure.

Sounds like it must be elevated, is 6 inches good? Max size of 3x3 ft. Are sides required?

And what to do with the ashes?

Reiter has been my stomping grounds for 30 +yrs, sick to my stomache to what its become the last few yrs....:puke::rolleyes::mad:

The newest laws say that to have a fire on DNR land it must be in a DNR provided burn container. FWIW

so, being that the fire pits arnt provided....does this becomes an oxymoron? can i pick one up from a dnr representative if they are provided elsewhere?

EDIT: Used 1/4 barrel with 8" pedastool!!! Worked great DNR liked it.

I just cut off the top 1 foot of a drum (gease, so the lid came off).
slit it, set it under and rewelded to the bottom of the now 1/2 drum (approx)

cut vent holes.. now you have a somewhat legal fire pit.
