saying a car with an open diff and crappy radials getting better traction than a car with slicks and is open is, well...just an "opinion" from someone who's never tried both.

And yes....a car/truck with slicks and an open rear will be QUICKER off the line than a rig with Posi and Grand Ams.....because it is all about TRACTION, tires have more bearing on traction than a spool. The early dragsters (and many still today) run open rear diffs.....:flipoff:

The 39.5 Pitbull Rocker is not much over 38" tall... mine were like 38.25 or 38.5 or something like that on a 8.25" wide H1 rim. From what I hear, the 37's are closer to 35.5" tall.

I run my 39.5's on a Toy, and haven't had any R&P problems... yet... I guess part of it is just don't drive like an asshole and parts will last longer...

Goodyear Eagle ST's are even better "smokers".....

Any upgrades in your Toy axles? I've thought of going up towards a 37-38" tire myself and I'm pretty "easy" on my junk (wore out 22R), yet still stock internals in the axles....

I haven't owned IROKS, but I wheel w/ lots of people that have them.

I LOVE my Rockers in the snow... I think in the snow, Rockers are better... but it is always hard to tell as the rigs I wheel w/ are all setup a little different, and IROKS do very well in the snow too... way better than an SX or TSL.

In all other conditions, I think they are comparable... but from what I have seen, and what I have read on Pirate the Rockers will last WAY longer than an IROK.

I should also add that I did a little grooving on my Rockers before I ever put them on when they were brand new... maybe this helped them out??? Beats me?

Also, some people have problems at really low PSI w/ Rockers and beads. Mine are on H1's, so I don't have any opinion or issues with that.

I see the new wrangler mtr has a 38'' tire and maybe better yet a 40" tire with the narrower tread width.

Do you guys know some folks that run them? seems like they would be one of the more durable tires with that kevlar side wall.

They look like a wicked tire and the few reviews I've read were positive. The kevlar is probably more of a marketing ploy like the bf garbage "tri gaurd" sidewall that you can almost spit through. :haha: Have you priced them yet? They certainly aren't cheap..

Ive been reading reviews on them all day when Ive gottin a few spare minutes.I read a couple reviews from guys that ran the u.a. with them and they liked them.One guy mentioned a few big sidewall gashs in them but the cut stopped at the kevlar liner.

Seems like the peeps that are dogging on them,are the east coast guys they claim they ball up in that sticky mud.But west coast guys are saying they clean surprisingly well.Most all do claim they out perform the old style mtr's.Snow reviews and sand reviews are positive.

Ive talked to a couple diff. distributors and Ive got them down to under $300.00 for the 38x14.50x17 Thats not so bad.I think this might be the way I go.I like the idea of going to a 17" wheel( dont like the exspense) but that way if I ever want to go to 1 tons I just need differant wheels not differant tires.:awesomework: another bonus is the 38" tire measures out to 37.8"s a true sized tire...excellant.

That isn't a terrible price.. Last time I was out at PAW they had 17x8 chevy wheels cheap. Pretty sure you know a guy that can open the centers to 4 1/8" to fit your axles.
