Did you buy the truck new?
Yes, it only has 9377 miles on it.Did you buy the truck new?
So, I called Chrysler themselves, and they say that they are not responsible for dealerships having the proper diagnostic equipment, and that dealerships are privately owned, so they can't do anything about it. In other words, chrysler builds them, but doesn't back it up with support. :eeek:

Off Topic, my 06 had an injector go bad and after many hours of testing the dealership couldnt tell which one it was. So after Star kept dicking around I called Chryslers cust service and bitched a bit they made the call to replace all of them . Too bad(For Chrysler) Star had the dealership do the injection pump(1700.00) first because that is what they thought over the phone was bad.:awesomework: So that is new also. Back on topic, it sucks to go and buy a new rig only to have some stupid probs. Been there done that, good luck.I'm amazed that they can't tell by the computer which injector is bad.
They told me I could tow it to another dealership, but at this point the tool from Chrysler should be showing up at any time, so I guess I will just relax and keep putting off my contractors, I think the worst part about the whole thing is that I recently bought a camper, so that we would have somewhere nice and dry for Elk hunting, and it opens tomorrow, while the new camper sits at my house. Anyone want to buy a camper :haha:You are not limited or required to take it to a particular dealership. You are free to take it to any dealership you are comfortable with. If you're not happy with the service you are recieving, have it towed to another dealership for repair.
Secondly, every manufacturer has a Dealership District Service Manager. He's employed by the manufacturer and oversees all warranty work reimbursed by the manufacturer. He also authorizes work that is either expensive or outside of the normally warranteed repairs. Call the dealership, and ask for the District Service Managers' phone number. If they act like they don't know it, find a phone book and call a different dealer to get his/her number. Make sure to leave a message when you get his/her voice mail. You will have to ask for service dept, then ask one of the service advisors to get the number you need
Thirdly, as an alternative, just take a chill pill and leave the truck alone. As the days click by, you're getting closer and closer to a lemon law qualified rig. And Chrysler will trade you out of it for something else.
I usually hand calculate, but it is usually fairly close.the injector could have been bad from the start and finally gave up the ghost.. Don't rely completely on the overhead though..
Got the truck back today :cheer:
Ended up being an injector, #4, and they did something with the ECM, whatever that is, and they wrote something about there not being an injector protection program installed. I don't understand what all that means, all I know is that I am happy to be driving it again.
On another note, out of curiosity I reset the overhead MPG display, and averaged 15.2 MPG on the way home, city and hwy drive, I have never had it average higher than 11.2 MPG before, with the normal average around 8.8 MPG, I have to run to Packwood tomorrow so I am interested if the reflash will help with the mileage, I sure hope so.
