wrangler springs in back of toy

YOU must be misinformed. The general consensus says that that's only true if you're okay with having a shitty front pinion angle.

Item one, learn to read.

Have you ever ran them ???? I have for years and never had a problem with my pinion angle. I can send pics if you like ... you just have to make sure they are 7-leaf waggys and not 5-leaf.

Item two- go ahead, we may just have differening opinions of what an okay pinion angle is.

no prob....... hey but what is your goal tire size and overall lift ???? or are you just kinda playing with the idea?

At the moment...32s or 33s. Eventually...37s or 38s. The goal at present is to get use the minimum lift to run 33s with maximum travel. Without doing serious modifications to steering geometry or suspension mounting points.

Then run RUF (rears up front) and a six" shackle. I clear 35 with min rubbing. i did have to get a longer drag arm until i can get high steer.

I'm still waiting to have the cash flow to do anything really. Finally pulled off the sway bar tonight, can't believe it took me this long to do THAT. Found out that it's definitely not the shocks that are limiting the travel either, looks like my springs just really are that shitty.

yeah stock springs suck a whole bunch!:D

That is definitely the case. Looked into A suspension manufacturer a little earlier, Old Man Emu, an off-shoot of ARB. They've got a 2.5" system that is all the rage with the expedition type guys so I think that's the way I'm going to go eventually when I have the cash for it.
