Tough bastards actually. I drove a frontier (Same rig more or less) on 35" MTRs to Moab and wheeled 5 days back in 06.

The rear axles are pretty stout; they've got 33 spline shafts and and a 9.1" ring gear.

You can over pack the LSD in the rear for a cheap locker ( two piece carrier, just put a couple extra discs and give it hell with an impact).

I never broke the front of that truck until I put a Dana 44 under it.

Heath and I were going to build a bumper but it sounds like now he may be headed to buy a Cherokee for a few hundred bucks to go beat on tommorow. At least it snowed last night, tomorrow could get entertaining ! :wtflol:

Paul what time you going to be there? Kelly lets load my rzr and go down in the morning. I got to be back by 2 so we would have to leave around 1

I was just trying to put something together and find a seat. We need to get you a windshield, stat. I'm in for a quick day, I need to burn something to give away.

Im not putting a windshield on mine blocks the view and why would you need a windshield at krock? They have a gay speed limit

Ready to go...ish. without paint... at least its icy out today 1 :wtflol:

fyi, that's tire smoke, not engine.....er clutch er anything laughing1 :flipoff1:
that thing needs a locker like I need more money...really really bad

That thing will work really well once he gets the rear end locked

Yea, it looks like a stock Xterra, but Im actually running a similar setup to what Shannon Campbells car runs. Its top shelf ****. laughing1

That thing took a fuggin thrashing today, Im shocked honestly. 177K miles, drove it there beat the hell out of it, Heath Harris rearended me , popped a window out the back on a tree and winched myself and several other rigs several times then drove it an hour 40 back to the house with 3 kids sleeping in the back seat. Un-real ! :woot:

I've got a bag of clutches for the rear Limited slip. Over packed it works as well as a locker.

I built front and rear axles out of these for my Sami/buggy. The front is overpacked limited slip and the rear is a welded open diff. Guys who've watched me climb **** say they've never seen one tire not spin up front.

The only off the shelf locker for the 33 spline H233b (your rear axle) is an ARB.

I am pretty sure the rear is wide open... I wish I could confirm it via VIN, but I havent really looked into it honestly. Its a 5 speed SE model. Kelly or Travis could probably tell me if its LS, **** I let that thing eat and smoked the clutch trying to grab 2nd in 4lo. laughing1 ( thank god it still drives I gotz to get to work  )

There should be a sticker on the pumpkin If it is. The factory LS is virtually non existent on those, you wouldn't know if you have it.

Welded they hold up too though. I ran my frontier with a welded rear for 1000s of miles.

Im a cheap bastard, I've ran my share of welded diffs laughing1 If I get bored one day , I'll just pull it. If its LS Ill change fluid and feel good about the maintenance, if its open.... well, you already know :woot:
