No basic first aide or criminal background check requirement that I know of.

Just taking a one day class that goes over the basics of how not to get shot and how to use DNR radios if you get to have them.

I think I mixed that up with their requirements listed for being a camphost.....

Duck, How did you guys get the bikes to see that they need to work WITH you and not against? Are the bikers up there Stumpjumpers or mainly another group? Just curious....

These guys are Downhill and Free Rider guys. They understand what we are going through because they have to deal with the same crap in closures and restrictions etc.. Jakob made first contact with one of the groups leaders and active members. Once we all sat down we realized we were not all that different in what we want for our respective sports. Calmer minds prevailed and we decided to form and Alliance of multi-users to band everyone together to achieve a common goal, a bigger and better sand box to play in with our toys.

BTW if you have never seen what these guys do on those bikes.... they got more guts than this old guys does that's for sure. I like my cocoon of steel around my butt.

Yeah I was pretty amazed at how many of you guys risked being caught that close to a school.....And Ron all uniformed up like aTrooper didn't scare ya away. :fawkdancesmiley:

yes we are all criminals. I think that might not have been the best terminalogy to use with that statement:mad:

Has your alliance got anything opened up in that neck of the woods?

yeah probably could have worded that better or even refrained from the whole sentance. but he did get a hell of a response from it

I know I chuckled over it. But ya certainly not the best word to have used.

No, we have not gotten that far yet. We are in the preliminary stages of selecting areas. But this will be a long road and don't expect anything for a few years at best. But we have to start somewhere. Just like Yacolt, Reiter etc. Whatcom county is not the most ORV friendly county. That's why we are bringing in as many users groups and organizations as we can find.

yeah this is what there map showed we may get when they are done best i could find

Duck, When I said Bike guys I meant Dirtbike guys. I'm just used to always talking with motorized and we just call them Bikes.... From the sustainablility meeting in Burlington the Mountain Bikers actually seemed like they were more willing to get along with everyone than the Dirtbike crowd I've been getting heckled by.
