i dont like them either, but its cool just because its something differnt, and its done good unlike alot of other exo's:D

Ok your right I didn't start out to bash your rig. I think your work is very nice and way better than I could ever do but i just told you what I think of exos. I didn't start the name calling your DUMB ASS friend did.:looser: If you cant take a little criticism your in for a hard time because with that cage your going to get it.
Like I said one hell of built and nice fab work.

WTF:rolleyes: You didn't say you don't care for EXO'S, you said his was gay! Why the **** do you feel so self important that you get to decide that eveyone will make fun of his cage? Fact is that for us that wheel Elbe, Exo's are fairly common. If you want to wheel the Busy all winter long and still have windows and a straight body you're gonna need some help. I doubt he'll be getting much flak down here. AssHat!

PS: I've never met Traildemon

I can understand that everyone has different opinions on how trucks should be built. Hell I have helped people build stuff that I thought looked like **** but it was what the person wanted so thats what they got, but the difference is that I didnt tell them that their ideas were :rb: the way you said it wasnt that all exos were gay you slammed directly on mine. And Chris being a long time friend of mine knew that I wasnt online and was just doing what friends do when people start talking ****. I actually appreciate criticism that is constructive but just little jabs like that piss me off. I expected criticism when I pulled a kia into the shop. :redneck: But its all good
talk to ya later

i wish i wife and kids, just so i could build something like this:redneck:

X2 :awesomework:

Exos are more than just keeping up with a fetish for straight sheet metal. They give you **** to pivot off of, and a smooth surface to slide along trees with vs. sheet metal that'll buckle and catch. They also free up interior room in a small rig, that's a big reason my Zuk is going to get one, I'd rather bounce my head off the inside of the targa bar than a piece of HREW.

"Your exo is gay" isn't critisism, it's name calling for the sake of being a douche bag.

Jason, the Kia looks sick, keep up the good work.

nailed it. there is no sense in having a heater if all the glass is gone. I wheel in the winter. its too easy in the summer and there are too damn many people running around the hills

When's the last time ya'll saw a KIA that was built quality like this one? Ever? Give the guy some props for building a unique rig that he's obviously going to wheel the piss out of. Who ****ing cares if it's an exo or an internal cage, either way that's some nice tube work and in my opinion, will hold up fine. If you've got something constructive to say, then by all means go ahead... if you just want to bash, I'd be happy to show you the door. Have we forgotten the rules of this forum?

Nice work traildemon, and I hope I will get to meet you out on the trail soon too... except I'll shake your hand and tell you nice work. Now get that thing finished!

Thanks. Hopefully sooner than later :awesomework: getting back after that wiring tomorrow

just looked over the build, i personally like it because its totally out of the ordinary! IMO i would have made it a little wider and less tall, maybe have cut out the fenders? but other than that it looks great! i love your door support bar idea and the bumpers look great! looking forward to seeing how it does out on the trial.

The front tires stuff as far as they can before they even think about rubbing the back gets right there but Im going to do a little trimming back there on the bottom of the bumper I also have to hack the rear body mount up for full stuff the reason I didn't cut too much out is the rear couldn't be cut very much without getting into the cab, im not going to do any gearing or anything on these axles cause I think I might go to 1 tons in a little while but Im going to see what happens with all the local trail resrictions before I make my move. :awesomework:

Speaking of cutting fenders out I started trimming the inner fenders yesterday and got the frame all cleaned up, I also threw some frame plates on it too get rid of the crush zones Now I can throw the inner fenders back in and some shock hoops and I should be good. another thing when I test fit the engine I had the exhaust manifolds on it and it fit fine but when I built my motor mounts I decided to drop the engine down a couple inches so the flanges are hitting the frame where the collectors bolt up  so a little plasma action is gonna take place in there later on. But Im going to clean up the passanger side framerail first.

Im getting my high steer arms tomorrow so I will be cleaning that front axle up and getting ready to mount the cylinder. Ive just had enough wiring for a bit so Im gonna tie up some loose ends and then get back to it just needed a little break from looking at diagrams :awesomework:

Well I got a few more little things done today. I got the passanger side plate welded on and both inner fenders trimmed up and in. went and picked up some high steer arms and got all my boxes opened up and pulled about 5000 square feet of bubble wrap off of all the parts, now I have everything I need except a serpentine belt pulley for my tc pump,. also I got the front axle all cleaned up so I can start welding on it (hopefully tomorrow)

Thanks Charlie, Im glad you finally made it home, Maybe I will swing up tomorrow am, after I get my coffee :coffeetime: I want to look at the intake on that thing, New project huh. sounds

I got a few things done today. I started by cutting the high steer arm off so it would be the same as the drivers side.

then I started cutting the trail gear ram mount and decided to throw it out and bend my own up because it just didn't look right no matter what I did with it, with the 90 degree bends it just took up too much room so I threw some 60 degree bends in a piece of tube I had laying around and it started coming togeather after that. Once it was all notched and leveled up I put the ram mounts on and a couple gussets. I cant find my 3/4" drill bit so I will have to go get one of those to drill the high steer arms out. I plan on running a fifth stud too but need to get an axle rebuild kit cause it was leaking oil everywhere and the bearings have seen better days. so I will do that while its all apart.
