Walker Nov 13th...Rocking the reroute!

Hey look I finally got a password!

I thought this was the Halloween Run weekend! Work Party??? I don't know if I'll drive over from Idaho for a dang work party. I'm gonna be too hung over to work.

Oh great someone let her back in :fawkdancesmiley:

Hey!!!! :cheer:
Elyse is aware this is our annual run Sash....And those that wish to help out for a couple hrs, can...those that don't want to, can wheel for that time....It's all good!!!
YOU'RE COMING OVER DAMNIT!!!!!
Do you have to encourage her all the time....:eeek::redneck:

:fawkdancesmiley: At least I owned up to it publicly (or internetly....however you want to say it :redneck:)!:awesomework:

It's all good, you do a hell of a lot more than most. I was just flippin' ya crap earlier.:fawkdancesmiley:

You two, by 'later' you mean this date (the 13th) works, or would a later date work?????
Kinda cornfuzzling!!!:redneck:

13th should work fine.....Again it would be nice to have a "metric **** ton" of material staged on the landing first. Is this something we need to plan and do?

Thanks Rick!
I'll contact Elyse to confirm, but she said yesterday that after this weekend's overwith (Cowbell Run), she will be dedicating as much time as needed to get the rock up to the landing---something in the neighborhood of 10-12 loads of mostly larger material...and again, if anyone's available, and has access to a dump trailer, coordinate with her to lend a hand....and if you need her contact info, pm me! :awesomework:

The later date works better for me as well. This week was a thrashfest trying to get tires swapped, rock toboggan proto1 usuable, getting buggy to run half way decent..... bla bla bla

I will bring my truck and trailer if I get the trans back in it. Are you guys going to rent an excavator?

There's gonna be one for the landing....(need to confirm-left message)...if not, then the bobcat will be there to load; it's a little slower, but it got the job done last time...:awesomework:

We made a rock moving sled but it was a failure, it was too jerky and the rocks would not stay on the sled (tied down) over all the rough terrain.
Good to know, but we'll just have to see what Jeff came up with...:awesomework:
Jeff, what's this toboogan look like??? Would it be feasable to throw a narrowed 2.5-3.5K axle under it?

I have alot of respect for Cory's opinion and experience with this but I still want to try.

All I'm trying to do is drag 6-800#s of rock behind my buggy. Ricks rig would drag more due to it making more anti-squat and creating more ground pressure plus it might weigh a little more.....but...this is just so I can contibute to the rock moving effort. If everyone moves a little then alot gets done.

I took one of our (TR)SORP belly skids and am throwing a bunch of .125 steel plate at it to make....essentially a "car hood with a trough down the middle".
The rocks will sit in the trough and be secured with either car snow chains or chain link fence over the top...not sure yet. This will be wide and flat with the rocks down the middle so it's stable and won't tip over. We'll see...it's an experiment.:redneck:
