My Bus,,, My Bus,,, My Bus...

Here's my .02 on house power, get two golf cart batteries and run them in series, golf cart batteries are 6 volt and are true deep cycle, 12 volt deep cycles aren't true deep cycles because they have to produce cranking amps, my dad was having trouble with his moho house batteries lasting and he went to golf cart batteries and they last way longer, like days longer. :awesomework:

x2 This.:awesomework:

So let me get this straight. You are running 12 V in the bus for all of the stuff except the stuff that you can't get to run on 12 V. So then you have a shore power line that you can plug in and run the bus lights and ect. That is what you are using the ( converter :hi: ) for? plus charging the batteries :eeek:

For my 2 cents
K.I.S.S
if you are running everything 12 V then wire it like a car and protect all cercuits like you would do in a car. As far as charging the batteries. Spend the money on a good programmable charger for the type of battery that you have. Then when you plug in to shore power the 110 will just charge the batteries and keep a controled float charge on them. A lot more efficiant use of power and a lot less chance of something can go wrong and toast things.

Ow ya.... the bus rocks

So, didn't get much done today... It was one of those, measure everything I own, draw some ****, then measure everything again kinda days... Stood in the bus for about an hour and a half just staring at everything, then something in my noggin clicked...:redneck:

Yep, that's my method... Stare at it long enough and it'll do whatcha told it to...

Hopefully I make some good progress tomorrow...

Seat portion of the sofa/bed...

Thanks guys...

Well, haven't been working on the bus for awhile... Been doing a lot of work on the house lately... I did pick up a counter top for the bus today... Ten foot with a little damage at one end... Got it for $108... It'll be perfect, 7' for the galley and 3' next to the fridge...

Kraker, I could use the paint for the inside... Still need to paint the floor and walls... That would be a big help... I'll get a hold of you and figure it out...

Thanks, Luey...

So, I had a chance to do some work on the bus... Started insulating the walls... The plywood was just on temporarily... Also picked up some indoor/outdoor carpet that will get glued to the plywood and then installed over the foam...
