304s came with a T15, if I recall correctly. You can drop a T18 or T19 in very easily. (3 speed to 4 speed swap)

Thanks for the link... Looking closer at the pic I now see it's a combination of a couple different boots. I had initially thought it was a single piece.

Except the one I see there has an aluminum top-plate. T-19's or T-18's didn't come with any sort of aluminum top plate (that I know of). Then you have to buy an adapter for a round-pattern D300.

Making me think its something else..

C'mon jeep guys you should know this. :redneck: It's most likely a t176 4 speed. That was a factory offering in that era although it could be a t177 or t178 if it was swapped out of a j truck.

I like 3 things in the automotive world. Big power, pre 2005 toyotas and old junk. Of course I know jeep since it falls under the old junk catagory. :flipoff:

Got the fender flairs on. Re-used the ones that came off the fenders (but attached correctly) and I believe the rears are the yj ones.

I also got the softtop rails put on. Had to drill 4 holes.

Got the glove box door painted and that and the grab handle on. Pretty much finishes the dash.

Tailgate is done and just waiting for the new seal so I can put that on.

Spent a little time on the hood. The base coat is on and waiting for the top coat of paint to show up.. Also waiting for the new hinges so hoping by end of the week to go on the jeep.

I did very minor work on the frame.. I did do some metal work on the driver side seam to get it somewhat flat.

So while the frame paint was drying I grabbed the tailgate. Put the new seal on and installed it. I also grabbed the spare tire carrier and threw it on.
