• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Finally....Da new rig..

Yes, super strong setup. Mine had a 2 inch bend off the top from when I went over backwards and got impacted by a Rock. Still didn't leak. Sold it that way after 10 years of use.

I got a start on the motor mounts..

Well the motor is now officially in place. I still have to build the cross support/skid plate mount that goes down under the motor and between both motor mount plates...

I got the front tube pulled off and tossed the new winch in just for kicks. I am still waiting for my M8000 so I can swap drums.

I like what you did there. That's the issue I'm now dealing with on my rig with the trans mount. I had a short mount setup and it pulled the bolts on the factory trans mount. Think I might achieve something similiar.

Nice work as always Mike!

Thanks its coming along...

I have done this setup a few times with no issues.

I had a couple folks ask why I ran the mounts so far out vs. just keeping it short and mount on the base of the belly pan. Well as many know the belly pan gets allot of deflection from being beat on. I figured the outer edges are the strongest part and should remain VERY stable and strong...

So One thing I wanted from the very start of this project was not the typical nose of the tube chassis--I wanted a god damn bumper. I toyed with a bunch of ideas and this is what I came up with. Its far from done and I will jump back on it as soon as I get my other winch so I can swap drums but this is the start of it. No more man bulge, lol.

I like the bumper, where do you get your bushings from? Last one what was the actual lead time on the ORIs?

It was like 5 weeks and 2 days--they are still saying 6 weeks..

I will have to dig up the number and pm it to ya. Took allot of work to figure out that mount combo many years ago...
