Lets See Some Samurai Builds!!

Yes, in my opinion. The header couldn't be more in the way. Mine currently has the Clayton 3 link kit and it puts the upper outside the frame rail. That severely limits uptravel and flexing with the driver stuffed/passanger drooped, at least with the frame still in the way. Most of the builds I've seen with a driver upper inside the frame run a stock manifold which doesn't hang down as low. It also allows you to run the exhaust closer to the engine.

I ran into the same thing building John's samurai. We cut the header in half and built a new section and turned the collector.

Ran into this guy at Morris Mountain, super nice fella..I doubt he post many pics, so I figured I would post up for him I don't think he would mind. By far one of the cleanest Sammy's I've ever seen! Inside and out almost flawless. Very cool

Slowly getting rid of all the budget crap I did to it. 4.3 cpi 195 hp th350 dual yotas. 3/4 ton axles I normally run 38.5 swamper those are 44s for a mud race but they only measure 41.5 lol. Just built a hydro bender and as you can see I started on the front clip. Got a long ways to go. Want to change the links to round tube. Full internal cage, sliders. Eventually a sbc or even a bbc might find its way in it with a longer wb.

here is a samurai built for customer/friend from the ground up has 6.0 with 400 trans, 60 front 14 bolt rear. samurai tub was only thing started with.

John, The specs are:
94" wheelbase, 1.6 16valve, 3 speed automatic, 6.5 transfer case, Scout II Dana 44s and cut 36" wranglers on H1 double beadlocks. 4 link rear, YJs with shackle reverse up front.
Grill is out of a Suzuki Verona and we cut the headlight bezels out of stainless sheet to blend it in to the fenders.

Below the grill on the bumper is a set of your lights I got from you when we did some trading on a samurai spare tire mount.
Was gonna run yours in the headlight bezels, but I cut the hole exactly 4.5" and they won't fit and allow for any tilt adjustment. Had to put some crappy autozone light in there instead. Do you have any rounds with a maximum housing diameter of 4"?

Thanks,
Jeff Ferguson
