In need of a fab/machine shop ASAP!

The highsteer arms are built for fj80 tre's. The draglink and tierod came with fj80 tre's. why the hell would i change to 1 ton ends? Strength wise, about the same. Availability, about the same. I heard the fj80 tre have a little more articulation. So yeah, reaming all the holes to fit gm 1 ton...

In need of a fab/machine shop ASAP!

Thanks for the replies! I'd use backcountry binders since ive had them do work on my old scout, but not sure if theyd have a metric 23x1.5 tap. I'll make some calls with the numbers listed. Thanks. Rix-think i could borrow/pay you to use your reamer?

In need of a fab/machine shop ASAP!

Already have the hysteer for my fj40, which came with fj80 tre's. But I need to shorten the draglink. And the GM pitman arm im using on my saginaw box has a small taper, similar in size to stock fj40. I guess i could use a 1 ton tre, but im still gonna have to tap the Draglink and ream my pitman...

    Blue's Redux...

Doesnt the level only work if your floor is %100 level? Id be fawked if i tried that at home, the floor tilts to one side. Itd be like a nascar rig with all the weights on one side...so it could turn left...a lot. When i get some cash, i have .35$ to my name since i just gave what i had left to...

    Tahuya 2-28-09

Went out to Tahuya yesterday. Yellow Jacket has changed from when i hit it a month ago! A month ago i had a steeply geared 3spd tranny and open diffs and made it up YJH stopping once. Was easy as hell. I installed an SM420 4spd and rear locker and decided to head back and do it again.So...

    Local Junkyards??

So, $325 is spendy for a complete front end? Ive found a bunch of complete front axles on CL, each one is $350, most have 4.10s. I only need from the knuckles out, but i may have to purchase the whole axle. Thanks for the info!

    More video from Tahuya

Havnt been to reiter, seen pics though. Didnt look like buggy material. Maybe ive watched too many "King of the Hammers" video clips, haha. Is funny rocks anywhere near moonrocks? Me and my buddy Les (Hlb3) got lost up on the Naches about 5 years ago in the fog, and ended up on a big open rock...

    More video from Tahuya

The rock hill looks pretty gnarly, at least fro my rig until i get the front locked and bigger tires. Curious where the buggy guys go wheelin since there rigs are so "hardcore." Seems like modified rigs can do about anything this state has to offer. I thought buggies were built more for...

    Tahuya 2-28-09

Whens the next work party? Id be happy to help toughen up the trails. If people will pitch in on fuel, weve got a backhoe, excavator, dozer, dump truck, etc. Ahh, wondered why he'd use a winch on that hill. Now i know:)

    Tahuya 2-28-09

Looks like the YJ had to pull cable...did he break or something? Anyone know if someone is gonna build more obstacles on the logging roads that are "Tahuya?" It seems like a waste, having 6.5 miles of dirt road, and .5 mile total of rock gardens and potholes. Needs more.
