I am seeing Raptors for $42K with 18K miles and 55K new. Not out of line for a new truck these days.

a guy I work with got a new black raptor crew a month ago. I got to drive it two weeks ago. We hit a handful of gravel roads, no jumps just flat ass south texas. Thing hauls ass, and handles awesome. My only complaint is the assend dribbles like crazy on acceleration, it just wont hook up even on pavement the rear axle bounces, you have to let out.
Since this one really wont ever see dirt he ordered a labber bar for it to stop the axle wrap.
It makes me consider buying a ford, even though I dont like the look or the interior.

How are yall setting up those gears with a pinion depth gauge of by wear pattern?

More than likely a setup problem but I think you would be better off running a regular gear than a pro, their designed for drag racing not the on and off shock abuse form rock bouncin their just to soft,Just a thought

I know the 2nd one wasn't from a bad setup. The same guy I have had set up several gear sets for me over the years did it. The first one and the latest one could be setup related but I doubt it. I know a bunch of people running Pro gears and have good luck. I mean hell I watched a HP 60 front shred it's gears today also. **** breaks when you drive by Brail!!

Problems will be over after you do the Jana kit. I know I sold it but after I figured out how much money I had in my old HP60 I was kicking my self in the butt for not building a 14B front. My next buggy will be front and rear 14B for sure :woot:
