I'm running 245 Sumitomo.
http://www.sumitomotire.com/theline/product.asp?c=mt&id=25

They ride decent, are wearing pretty well, and aren't overly loud. They howl more than a rib tire, but I definitely did not want a highway tread. If you keep them rotated, they wear better and are quieter. I got them on the deal for around $200/tire, but they don't retail for much more than that.

I have about 15,000 on them and I can tell the rears have slightly less tread than the fronts, but jackassing around is tough on tires. And my truck has a tight limited slip, so it is hard on rear tires.

buddies both had BAD luck with the goodyear tractions on the front for ride and handling. sucked ass. I didn't want to get in the truck. now they both have steer tires on the front and it rides like a dream. again this is GY. I want to ride in one before I drop coin.

I have run DH01s on my work truck, and won't buy them again. They don't feel stable, wear like ****, and are loud. Whatever you buy, I would recommend getting a closed shoulder tire, I think that is the difference between the Sumitomos I have and the Hankooks I used to run.

Do you think they had drive axle tires on the front? Or?????

I was going to go with 6 all position tires, vs. two all postion and four Drive axle tires. You can get some decently agressive drive axle tires, but I dont hink running them on the front would be wise and beg for a harsh ride. Is that what Heath and Jeremy initially did?

on the sumitomo's they show a max speed rating of 65, **** dog, I run that in my neighborhood.

Ok, what is the best all around (riding) 245/70-19.5 out there for wear and has a little bit of a tread pattern to it?

which sumi do you like? I've looked the entire line over and am not in love with 1 tire for all positions. the fronts that jeremy was running was a drive and open shoulder. the steers you see on most road tractors and what the boys are running now are closed shoulder rib style. I like heath's because of how perfectly square the shoulder is so it is tough looking. I'm probably biased because of the semi's I'm around.

The welds look good on dads new dodge in a 17; he has been trying to order the 19.5's but after weld went bankrupt then got bought out by american racing their service went south.

Mark's rig is the coolest of cools. It was built for a Tennesse Titans football player in memory of his fallen Firefighter father. It has more emergency lights and sirens than you can imagine. :****:
