2008 Hardline Winter Ride, Wooly's & Wheelin In the Country, TN, February 15-17

Re: 2008 Hardline Winter Ride, Wooly's & Wheelin In the Country, TN, February 21-24

Guys, this is the ride from hell! The staff at WITC suck, they never answer and it takes them forever to call back. Judging by their calendar they may only be open on the weekend (i.e: Not Friday). I can tell this one is gonna be a cluster if things don't change. It is close enough that we might could do a Sat/Sun ride if needed, just wanted to give you a heads up. Since changing the date, I am not sure if Keith can make it so we will need to check with him which I have not yet done. If anybody goes by there tell him the date has changed and see if he can make it.

Sorry guys, this one has become a pain in my ass. Hopefully I can get it all worked out.

They called back and said that we could ride Friday/Sat as planned. However, they close the gates at 5pm Thursday night so for those going up on Thursday we would have to get there before then. I think I will just go up Friday morning since it is so close. They open the gates at 8am

I don't even remember a gate the way we came in?

Don't know Ricky, never been there just going off what the park owner told me. Maybe he just closes it during the week.

Also, who wants in on a cabin? They have 2 that sleep 8 and 2 that sleep 6

Count us in for a cabin. If you guys are interested I can to try to get in touch with Mark Phillips, I kinda hate to ask but he has his own personal cabin on site that they rent out when he's not using it. He might be able to hook us up.

(Mark owns the Coleworx shop, drives the big yellow CJ if that helps)

Cool, you can ask if you don't mind. Either way the cabins are pretty cheap, especially split up among several people.

OK, so we have 4 spots in one cabin filled (Matt O, my buddy Wayne, Rich and Ricky). John is taking the motor home. Paul is out and Dollar can't commit because of work. Rich/Ricky do you guys want the cabin for Thursday night? I am pulling up early Friday morning, so I don't need the cabin Thursday.

6 Person Cabin is $75/night, so with 4 in it right now the bill is only $18.75/person per night. The 8 person cabin is $100/night.

TK, Joe and Brennan what are you guys doing for lodging? Lodging info/prices here: http://www.wheelininthecountry.com/lodging.html

we are going to tow up friday night and get a hotel and meet up with you guys on sat morning

Keith was a go for the original weekend, he will have to check again now since we moved it. He thinks it will be fine, and he is towing up Friday night or Saturday morning, and will throw in on the cabin the 2nd night.

Brennan is coming up Friday afternoon, so he is gonna be in for the cabin on Fri and Sat nights. That puts us at $15/person per night on the cabins.

We have the 6 person cabin reserved. Cost is $75/night so we will split it up by the number of people we have in it. Should have a minimum of 4, maybe 6. I have to mail in half of the rent as a deposit this week, so please let me know if you need to stay. I have myself, Carl, Rich and Ricky as definates right now.

So nobody can go up till Friday because of WITC. So I am not sure if there will be riding on Friday. Regardless we can ride Wooly's on Sat as planned and WITC on Sunday if we so choose. Only 3 rigs are coming, so I opened it up in the Trail Rides section

Those assclowns at WITC can kiss my ass. They called me tonight to tell me that if we arrive Friday and don't plan on riding at the park till Sunday then we will have to pay $15/person each day (Fri, Sat and Sunday) in addition to the $75/night for 2 people in a 6 person cabin. Needless to say I cancelled my cabin. I think we are gonna go back Saturday after riding and stay where Joe's at on Friday night. Sorry John, WITC is not worth $240 to ride half a morning.

Sorry this ride turned out shitty. Live and learn

Yeah I care nothing about going there after the experience I have had with them. The wife is all over me about being gone for Valentine's weekend, so I may sit this one out or just go up Sat and come back Sat night.

Due to there being so many changes, the large chance of rain, not knowing where I can stay in the RV. I am starting to wonder about the prudence of going. I will talk to nan and make a decision later today.

I dont blame you a bit John, its turned in to a cluster... better to just let it go and try again when things work out then suffer through any more BS thumb.gif

Wooly's is an awesome place, and there is plenty of room for the motorhome depending on how early in the morning/late at night you get there.
