Cut edges of the tube bent it in so I don't have to use adapters anyone ever run it like this ? About to weld it all up and do the other end

Might want to plug weld the bung to the flats since its a loose fit if you're going to do that

You're relying on only this weld holding the bung.
Think about the vertical and horizontal movement from the shank not making contact with the inside of the link. That's why I mentioned plug welding also

drill thru the bung and the rod end? How ya gonna get it out when you need to replace it?

The damn heim shank probably isn't long enough to thread all the way down the insert.

Think of all the money saved on jam nuts though!

I know that I have made some questionable fabrication decisions in the past that my friends have called me on. Looking back I'm glad they did as it would have ruined everyones day on the trail.
