Got some more parts from UPS so I put the bodywork/sheetmetal work on hold to work on getting the motor, tranny and cases assembled.
I got rid of teh LSPV and ordered up this wilwood copy from speedway motors. Super fast shipping btw and cheap...
I went back and forth with what to do with my drivetrain since I am running a ford v6. I have two W56 trannies and already purchased my MC07 adapter and donor tcase. I decided to run the W56 behind the ford motor. I hope I don't regret it in the long run.
Advance Adapters doesn't sell a Ford small block to toy tranny adapter, only North West Offroad. I couldnt justify spending $700 on an adapter that may end up not working out. I decided to order a scatter shield from Speedway Motors. I got this idea off 4x4wire a while back....
The next step was to center the bellhousing onto the W56 and get ready to start cutting.
We created a fixture to hold bellhousing center with the tranny based off measurements taken off of the block. I am very happy with the end result. I used Socket Head Cap Screws that I had purchased long ago for my hub spacers and also re-used both bellhousing dowel pins. Took a long time....

Sitting next to the stang' V6
And now mated to the motor... I still need to pull it apart to put a clutch, etc. in. I have a new Toyota clutch that obviously won't work so I need to sell that and buy a Ford pressure plate and clutch with the correct spline to match the tranny.
That was it for Saturday. Today, I assembled the cases and chim- crossmember. Pretty simple installation thanks to the 4RnrRick directions...
Next time, I plan to get the drivetrain mounted up. I'm going flat belly, so I will need to stock up on more sawzall blades..... That will have to wait until after the upcoming vasectomy surgery.
