BB's on the street

Could it be the wheels? Perhaps the wheels themself are out of round, beyond balancing. Just throwing things out there.

Could be, dad suggested that on our way over to your place the other day, I hope not though, they're pretty new wheels, ran on the street mainly by the previous owner. :eeek:

Wasn't there a bit of slop in the left front tie rod? Running a bigger hunk of rubber could place more strain on it and finish it off. How are the rest of the bushings in the front end looking? Ever get the steering wheel centered after those morons at big wheel aligned it? I'm just spitballing ideas here...

I replaced the left tie rod end and did the rack guide upgrade as well, never re-centered the steering wheel, i'll fix that with an alignment after i figger out this problem.

I've had BFG Km's on my rig--threw them on, didn't balance em and could do 55 (downhill with the wind at my back of course:haha:), nary a wobble; also when I got my LTB's I thought for sure they'd have a wobble/shake....Nope! No shaky shaky!!! :cheer: No spacers though....

Want a cookie?:flipoff:
(Same deal with my "new" tires though)

I am guessing bad tire. I have seen many of KM BFG with a bad sidewall or tread bulge or inner seperating inner plys.

im thinkin the spacers are throwing off your ackerman angle and cause the DW. wont come into play till you try to turn a corner then your vehicle is actually pushing the tire sideways to the tread on one side. this stress rteverberates thru the steering system fighting its self to ster.

just for giggles id remove the spacers and run the same tires and rims to see the difference?

I CANT! :haha: that's the whole reason for the spacers. The offset of the wheel face/mounting surface (the area of the wheel with the 8 design holes in it) hits the brake caliper, which got me thinking...

When i got a flat tire on the old aluminium wheels, the spare black crawler fit fine without the spacers, didn't hit the caliper, but these pro comp ones do... :eeek:

I might need to look into that as well, they wheels i have on it now are pro comp black crawlers 15x8 w/ 3.75 b.s.

On a side note:
I'm prob gonna buy the "ET" extended thread lug nuts from Allpro, even after installing longer lug studs, im just not comfortable with the thread engagement. Plus they might help center up the spacers.

I guess i'm just stubborn and don't want to beleive that the spacers are causing this problem yet, with as many people that run them and have no issues, it would only be MY luck that i got the shitty set that doesnt work! :haha:
