What a crazy week.
After going a GPS confirmed 94.09mph in a rockcrawler, running through the silt when its so dusty you can't see the GPS or gauges 2' in front of you, hoping your not going to find the car in front of you stopped, taking corners that you'd be driving at 30mph on pavement at 65mph on a rutted gravel/dirt road... I now fully understand why people say your running on the edge of control when they are talking about desert racing.
I got to codrive for 170miles of desert roads, rocky goat trails, Silt beds, dodging telephone poles at 65mph and no mechanical failures. Day 1 we kicked some serious butt, If it wasn't for the some cooked fuel pumps and broken hoses that took us out of the race days 2 and 3 we would of got a podium finish without a doubt.
I have to say it, Jason and Trevor you guys built one hell of a rockcrawler. When DSI gets the new fuel system in he'll be kicking some ass.

Call me when you want to get some shocks!I am VERY JELOUS of you getting to be a part of that race. I regret shutting the shop down as soon as I did and not being able to be in that race. and you guys kicked royal ass when you 2 got in that car.. you should have ran the whole thing. I think the car liked you two better. I am proud as fawk of the way you guys ran pook. Hopefully you can get the stain out from your underware! :flipoff:
:haha: no stains here. After the first few miles I got settled in. Dave's a good driver, I felt comfortable and we got into the groove. :awesomework:
When we stopped at the finish I was disappointed that was the end of my ride. :redneck:
Lost an engine, and had one of the other racers shortcut about 30 miles. Protest is in...:stirpot:
Sorry to hear that...
My buddy, Scott Hartman(1706) did well in his class.
I co-dog'd in the 1706 car for the first part of day 3, what an absolute blast!
John
No chit..You the guy from Crawl?
LOL after a few miles you will either puke in your helmet or settle in.
Nice job. To bad the fuel issues came up or you would have probably won.
