Why do you continue to redo the body?? Do you drive that thing daily or sumthing? I'm glad you got rid of that flatbed!

Do you like destroying fresh sheetmetal or is there a reason behind it?

Looking good. I was getting worried when you were at the rockwell stage but it has turned around nicely with the one tons. Getting some school under your belt is a good thing, it is done before you know it.

well first off it looked like **** and i got the new bed for free so it was just time, welding wire, and bondo invested, front fenders were barely hangin on and hood was fubared ($80 well spent on the clip), Ohio trails=no nearly as narrow as PNW stuff and exo will be done here in the near future (next month or 2) not daily driven but will be driven when i want too

yea the rockwells brought the suck (i wont tough a set unless its goin under somethin with links)

daylight shots

went ahead and took a couple of poser shots and it showed me the frame really needs to be stiffened up so while the beds off for paint i will go ahead and put in probly 2 or 3 more x-members and box in the back half of the frame

and im really starting to get fed up with the back half not workin that good so im gunna snag a set of front hangers for the rear springs and do a shackle flip with 56's and since one front spring is sittin lower 52's are probly gunna happen too

Lookin great compared to what it used to look like!

Old Chevy frames are supposed to flex... don't worry about it. If you stiffin it up too much it will just develop cracks.

the frame will get stiffened up when it gets a cage put on too so i figure help it out some too but either way itll get the stock x-members welded in (rivets get loose over time) and i think a couple more stuck in there

hm seems like its been awhile since ive been here

started doin up my seat mounts got one mount left to weld up and wouldnt ya know i run out of wire:homer:
then started to look at this mess its 7' long right now so i plan to chop 12" or more out id like a 110" wheel base but then id have no bed space left i will probly go to a 110-115 anyways

Looking good. The willys cabs are easy to build around, simple shape and big engine compartment. Did your body get destroyed again or did you just want a new project?

yea this one was probly the best go at trashin the body it only went down hill from here and fast

i have always liked the willys trucks one and picked this one and a scrap truck for 400 bucks so after the other one went to scrapper i had 70 bucks in this one it was a rust bucket tho so i spent a good bit of time doin body work its got about 4 coats of primer on it now

ill end up runnin the rad in the back because to clear my tires i had to set the body back ive got 500 feet of 1.75x.120 dom sittin here to start on an exo as soon as i can probly wont get to it till after this semester of school

i should have it wired up before i go back to school
