Cooling issues with new system

Reason I think the pump I havemay be ok is one the motor starts to get hot and water is circulating constantly with thermostat open you can tell the water is moving to fast as both hoses - inlet and outlet are damn near the same temp. It is moving through the radiator faster than it can cool it.

With my rear radiator, I can't get all the air out while backing up on a hill. I have to pull the upper rad hose on the motor, and fill the engine first. Then crank it up and let it circulate while topping it off.

That's the way we filled it just not with it running

On my pump, there is a purge port on the top.

What motor? All the LS motors are reverse flow arent they?
