Fall 2009 Ride @ Monteagle, TN

Who all is going down Friday morning and when is everybody leaving? Matlock, should we plan for somewhere besides Mayhem with all the rain or wait until later in the week to decide?

John, Gregg,Cole and myself were coming early last time we talked..

Also, keep the Sat/Sun ride off the public boards, Big Dawg already sent Cole a PM asking if we were going to Iron Gap. Not sure where he heard about it. The last thing we need is to have a bunch of rigs show up that heard we were riding. We will have a big enough group with 11 rigs...

MattO, what is your planned time for leaving on friday? I am still arranging my time, but wanted to find out if we were talking about noon or before or what? :dunno:

Yeah I am going to leave by 8 or 9 because I would like to ride on Friday. This may be my last ride of the year, so seat time is important for me..

I am going to leave early. 8 to 9 also. Took the enclosed for a ride today loaded behind the pickup, it pulls it fine. But I think I will have to leave the gas pump plugged in.

I guess I'll put the dinged up roof panel and all the plexi rear firewall pieces back on mine.. Its going to rain continuously Saturday.. Are we going to stay on rock like Iron Gap Saturday ?

I am leaving around the same time and so is Cole. Gregg when are you leaving? I think we were the 4 that were going to be there in time to ride Friday.

Talked to Matlock this morning about riding tommorrow. He is going to talk to the damn locals and let me know something. We have Mayhem as an option, it is about an hour each way from the hotel and I have heard some trails are very hard. I guess those of us that get there on Friday should just decide what we want to do.

Weather is scattered storms tommorrow (40%), sat looks like rain, sun is going to be nice though.

I am loaded and ready to pull out. I will probably get out earlier than 8AM, just cause I am so ready to get there.

I am looking around 9:00 a.m. IF MY ASSHOLE BOSS DOES NOT PUL SOME FUKIN CRAP LIKE HE HAS BEEN ALL WEEK. When I leave work today, here is what he will see. :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipoff1: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: :flipgotcha: His response will be

We'll probably be rolling out late tomorrow afternoon. I have had several exams and papers due this week and haven't had time to get the Jeep prepped.

Cool, looks like our best option for tommorrow is Mayhem near Viola, TN. Friday and Sunday look like the best days to not get soaking ass wet.

For those riding Friday let's aim to meet in the hotel parking lot at NOON and leave out from there. If you are going to be after that coming in, you can just go straight to Mayhem and meet us there. The address is below, and it is a small place kinda like Mountainside. 30 mile tow to Mayhem, we can cruise around and not tear **** up, and come back to the hotel and go get some food. The mexican place there serves huge draft beer for like a $1.50 ;D

Good morning. Shutting down the computer, getting a cup of coffee and hitting the road about 7:30AM. See y'all there.

I should be leaving here in the next hour, waiting for the baby to wake up so I can pull the buggy out and load it

Weather has been awesome in B'ham... bet you guys got some good riding in today, gonna suck tommorow I bet. laughing1

Im just waiting on my co-pilot / tow rig to get off work then we are headed that way. Buggy is on the trailer on in the parking lot, gear packed cooler stocked just waiting on Chris to hit the clock. :dblthumb:

FAWESOME TRIP. Flash flooding and all, the best. We will have to go back again and again. Mayhem was great and bet even better when dry. That creek bed was a blast and would do it again in a heat beat. :****: One place has so many places to go and see that you would never see the same place twice. Flash fooding was cool, I got some crappy pictures of it and would post them up if they were worth a chit. Hale mountain on sunday was a great time as well. I still didn't see you go up the last waterfall completely John G. You had to have cheated. :flipoff1: Gregg 1 John G 1+ maybe. :flipgotcha: Anyway, had a great time and had a great time meeting and riding with Jimmy, Gus, Jay, Joe, and all who went. Can't wait for the next. :dblthumb: :dblthumb:

Good times for sure, even with bad weather. Sounds like Hale Mtn was fun, hope to check it out sometime. John and Jamie thanks so much for your help on the trail repair. Special thanks to Gregg (Captn WooPow) for the fun tow out to the trailer. I hate breaking and inconveniencing others in the woods, so it was greatly appreciated.

No problem at all man. I think you and everyone I aired up this weekend should know, no problem at all. The funniest thing was when jimmy's girl said, "this is the most fun I have had all day" , third gear pedal down towing in the dark= :driving: :dblthumb: :dblthumb: I like here attitude. thumb.gif
