lol, thats why i wanted your number. you think i was gonna call you to come over and partay, but in reality, your gonna help sand and paint the cage:flipoff: . anyway, its gonna be black.

i dont know what it came out of, beyond that it was an extended cab toyota pickup. i got it from odie, who says it came out of a show truck.

lilyota, did you get trail-gears kit? i got the three inch lift which is apparently a four inch lift with the shackles.

actually, now i am considering getting it powder coated, just so i dont have to mess with it later. but you can still come over and partay. i was gonna just sand it down and hit it with dupli-color semi-gloss black.

anyway, just dropped it off at johns house. :clappy:

welding on the shock mounts:

black lug nuts are expensive, but man do they look good! i paid $70 for 14 lug nuts and 11 wheel studs at the arlington napa.

so far, the only real problem is that they sent us the wrong rear shocks. instead of the 12" bilstien 5125s, trail gear sent 10"s. right now it has a set of gabriel shocks that were probably meant for a 3/4 ton truck under it.

the truck will be ready next weekend. all thats left (as i recall) is the front axle needs to be rebuilt, front shock hoops mounted, e-locker figured out and wired, brake lines run, and brakes flushed (if i forgot anything, john, lemme know). next weekend, i will have my winch, ARB front bumper, rock sliders, and dual batteries installed, then the first thing i do after i get it back will be to take it to car toys and have them install an alarm.

anyone know what to do about the rear bumpstops? there isnt anything in the instructions. do we weld them on top of the u-bolt plate?

you know the price off hand for the alarm and install. i need to get one soon to. im getting worried. truck is getting there i like it. keep it basic

I thought we would be driving it out on Sunday but I gues that was a little unreallistic. It wiil be done next weekend barring any problems. I got the front axle gussets all welded on and am starting to rebuild it now. The rear is done just waiting on new shocks.

i priced a clifford alarm at car toys, it was just under $400 installed with 2 door pins, a hood pin, and a vibration sensor.
